My wife bought a carbonated soft drink from here. It turned out to be flat. When we checked the bottle it turned out that the best before date was months ago! She took it back and got a replacement.

Co-op Food - Hay-On-Wye
Decent size Co-Op with a large carpark on the outskirts of Hay on Wye. Sells a much better selection of vegan products than other branches do but that could be because it's Veganuary. Self service and cashier operated checkouts and plenty of space to move around. Prices on the high side and no public toilets which is unusual for a supermarket so I've deducted one star.

Co-op Food - Hay-On-Wye
This Co op is the main supermarket for Hay on Wye but not really that big. It is a typical Welsh Co op offering a good range of products at a reasonable price. You would probably still want to go to a larger supermarket for more choice. There is a reasonable size car park and usually spaces.

Coop needs a staff member on its entrance: call me harsh, but through CoViD I'll leave 2 stars where stores will allow an unlimited number of people in unchecked. This is, sadly, the case here; resulting in some customers dancing" round each other to try to stay a metre apart.Otherwise

My main complaint is the temperature in the Co-op. It's FREEZING! How the staff put up with it I don't know. I understand it's been like this for weeks now. Please get it sorted! Also why are there so many gaps in the shelves? It seems to be out of stock of many items.
