The Copper Kiln
Went for afternoon tea, lovely decor and atmosphere. Felt very homely, nice seats. Afternoon tea itself consisted of smoked salmon mini ciabatta, finger sandwiches (2 each). Homemade sausage roll slice, delicious mini chicken pies and shot class of mushroom and fennel soup. Soup was tasty, sandwiches were ok, sausage roll slice had too much meat in proportion to the pastry, smoked salmon rolls were ok. Chicken pies certainly made up for it. Sweet treats - small fruit scones, jam and Chantilly cream, mint and strawberry cheesecake bites, tiny fruit tarts and brownie. Copious amounts of tea and coffee. Waitress was fine. Would return to try bar food.
