Powerboat Training UK

My 16 year old son and I loved it - one of the best days together. Our trainer Corey was a great teacher allowing us to learn by trying/failing, try again! The majority of the day is on the water on the jetski (PW), and sharing a craft between two really worked - to learn quicker off each other, and to share the good times too. By the end of the day our confidence and knowledge grew, and we had loads of fun doing it.

Our instructor Tony was awesome. Super knowledgeable and made it really fun. The course is really practical and the team at Powerboats UK, have great boats with fab access to Poole Harbour!

I highly recommend the Own Boat Instruction day. Particularly if you keep your boat in or around Poole Harbour. You certainly can teach an old dog new tricks. I learnt a lot about how my boat reacts to wind and tide and how to use the two outboards to best effect. Plus many other tips and tricks!!Paul’s knowledge of the local pilotage, small channels and anchorages is very extensive.I now feel more confident in exploring the many shallower channels that Poole Harbour has to offer.

Really first class course, the whole experience was excellent fr the moment we arrived to receiving the certificate. the instructors were just so calm and encrouging but pushing us just enough to keep us on our toes. I can recommend doing your course woth them and Poole Harbour was a daunting place to learn but would now be happy to hire a boat and not worry . Just completed 6 days Yacht master theory, another excellent course at there training room in Poole. Fantastic instructor Rob yo guide us through, great time, great course and good supply of coffee, fantastic. Can highly recommend you do the classroom rather than on line. Forth course for me looking into next one with them.

Completed PBL2 recently and what a fantastic team. The course was well managed, informative and most importantly good fun.There is a good mix of all training, the instructors will push you for excellence in challenging conditions to make sure you are well equipped once out on your own.When you consider the equipment, experience and quality of the course it proves excellent value for money.Looking forward to a returning to PBTUK to complete more training in the future.

Did my RYA power boating level 2 here last week after years away from the water. I received brilliant training by Pete who not only taught me what I needed to know but also customised everything he taught me for my specific use case (taking my family out in the water). He’s also a really nice guy.I was very impressed with the training boats here too - really high spec machines of different types / windage / This means you can learn how different boats handle and experience a lot more than you would on a basic boat.I’ve mentioned my training here to other people in the boating community in Poole and it’s obvious from their reaction that Paul and Viv have built a business with a really solid reputation.Thank you all for a great couple of days training - it could have been better!

Patient & very knowledgeable instructor on our 2 day powerboat course. We learnt so much, thank you Anthony. Then a day to get our VHF licence with another instructor who made a day in the classroom a fun learning experience..wasn't too keen to take an exam but it wasn't too bad. Fingers crossed its a pass.
