We had Matt & George back for another project.This time a bedroom wardrobe conversion.The 2 door built in cuboard was no longer big enough for my daughter so a larger wardrobe was planned.The bedroom next to our daughters also had a smaller built in wardrobe. Matt was able to knock through from a blank wall in our daughters room, into this wardrobe & design, build & install a much bigger, triple sliding door wardrobe.We took Matts advise again on the construction and great ideas for the finished look.Good communication throughout the project.A very professional service and a great quality of workmanship.Matt and George did an excellent job and our daughter is really happy with the more modern looking wardrobe.We would highly recommend their services .

If you are looking for a professional, punctual and friendly company for your next home improvment job then look no further.I contracted Matt and his team to remodel my garden and replace our rotten old decking.Matt was involved right through the planning stages, offering helpful insight into what could be done and any pitfalls to avoid. He also worked within my budget guidelines, re-drawing plans a couple of times to accomodate me.During the fit out, Matt, George and Callum were incredibly puntual, any days they couldn't work due to the fantastic British weather, I'd get a phonecall or in person knock at the door to let me know. They took extra care making sure all their work was done to an incredibly high standard and I have no qualms this decking won't look as good in 10 years as it does today.Thank you Matt, George and Callum for a fantastic job, I honestly can't recommend you enough.Cheers!

Matthew and George were really professional and did a great job of updating our kitchen. They were also really helpful in finding a solution to add some detail into our doors. These were finished to a really high standard just like the kitchen. Would definitely recommend them.

Cannot recommend this company enough!In January, they remodelled our kitchen, arranged and assisted with a full rewire/make good of our entire house and constructed a walk-in wardrobe. Cannot wait for our next project to begin!From first enquiry to completion of work I have never had such good communication or customer service from a company and to top it off the quality of work has been excellent too.Never any issues in terms of them not showing up when expected; they were always bang on time, well presented, polite and extremely helpful.There were a few issues along the way (with my house, not them!) and they were brilliant at keeping me updated, explaining what needed to be done and keeping me updated with costs.Their prices are competitive and the quality of work is outstanding.I also like that they are not shy about saying when something is not within their area of expertise and bringing in an expert. Both the plasterer and electrician they brought in were also brilliant.When the job escalated, they made sure to make themselves available to complete the works to avoid me being left in the lurch/with unusable spaces and got it all done to a high standard.I honestly cannot say a bad word about them and would happily recommend them - in fact they have recently been to quote on some work for our family!

Over the years in our various houses we have had extensions put on, gone into the roof, re-wired, re-plumbed - and can honestly say that Matthew and George of Smart and Simple Home Improvements are the best builders we’ve ever used.They recently fitted sliding baskets and drawers into all the cupboards under our work surface and they are perfect. You can see everything in them by simply pulling them out and looking down so no more kneeling and then crouching down to try and reach things in the back and trying not to tip forward.They did this while also working on a very large project for my son, putting a roof on a 90 square metre building and then using Sips panels to build two well-insulated rooms inside. They only have one way of working: plan it, measure it – and do it right. From the very beginning they are precise, meticulous and professional – they are also quiet, considerate and friendly and have a team of trades to call in as needed.When it’s your house you want peace of mind, you want the work done right and to know it will last. With Matthew and George we have every confidence that is the case and were sorry to see them go when the job came to the end - and that’s a first!Kati & JohnPitseaPS.
