Afternoon tea highly recommended. Lovely staff and fantastic ambience. Food was delicious and we were so full we got a doggy bag to take home.

Afternoon Festive tea at the Grill Room at £85. The Grill Room is really beautiful and opulent. We were truly charmed by the ambiance. The gentleman that assisted us, Luigi is very charming and affable and offered us perfect service. Great place for photographs as well. The cream for the scones were so good.

The Grill Room at Café Royal
Had a fantastic afternoon tea celebrating my 50th with my wonderful friends back in June. We were well looked after by the staff and they made sure we enjoyed my special birthday. Definitely recommend this place for the great customer service, the ambience of the place and the delicious sandwiches, cakes and pastries. Thank you very much.

I’ve had a lot of afternoon teas. This is definitely in my top 5. Maybe even 3.It was the decor that truly made my experience (but don’t get me wrong, the food and service was flawless), there was even a live pianist playing beautifully.The attention to detail that went in to creating the desserts was phenomenal, I really wish I had a photo of each dessert but they did not hang around! Each one was equally as yummy as it was beautiful. I also feel like the scones can make or break an afternoon tea. These didn’t break it but I didn’t go ‘wowww’, they were your nice handmade scones from a top quality afternoon tea. Lovely.Service also deserves a 5 ⭐️, the ladies were so lovely when they seated and greeted me! The waiter was also very friendly and made the time to engage in conversation. Will definitely be back, I look forward to see what other unique afternoon teas they have to offer!

We had such an amazing experience today for afternoon tea , the staff, food, ambiance attentive service , everything was so nice...special mention for Joseph and the lady playing the piano but didn't catch her name ...superb thankyou til next time !

We came here to celebrate my parents' golden wedding anniversary at the same venue where they got married. the team at Cafe Royal went above and beyond to make the day as special as we could have hoped for. Down from the really helpful reservation staff who made sure we could get a table on the right day through to the team on the day who were friendly, funny, attentitive and knowledgeable - they made my parents feel like returning VIPs. The food was excellent: one of the best egg mayo sandwiches i've ever had - and the pastries were incredible. There was also a genuinely excellent selection of teas, with great advice - but everything was just made so easy, we wanted to make a small change to the menu and there was no fuss about it at all. I couldn't recommend this place for a special afternoon tea highly enough.
