A B Osteopathy, New Town

Having been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in both of my hips & arthritic changes in my lower spine, I have had problem in my lower back for a lot of years which ultimately gave me severe Sciatica, sometime barely being able to walk.Alex came highly recommended to me by one of my work colleagues, so I began attending Alex through my work health scheme, she was professional right from the beginning. She was very welcoming and instantly put me at ease. She took her time taking my medical history and I feel she really listened to what I was saying (Which is more than I can say for several different GP’s I have attended for this problem over the years). She talked me through her plan and through the treatments I was to have so nothing came as a surprise & gave me several exercise plans to do at home which have been a god send.Alex has been doing a fantastic job, my lower back pain has eased significantly & my sciatica is gone now.I’m currently waiting for Orthopaedic Assessment on my hips to see what the next steps are for proper pain relief but I’m still attending Alex every couple of weeks which helps me immensely.I cannot recommend Alex highly enough; she is an absolute superstar. I couldn't recommend Amanda enough! She has been treating my 11 month old for a few months now and we have noticed such an incredible difference in his range of movement. I started seeing Amanda during my pregnancy and she was so helpful in to alleviating my back pain. I took my newborn to her when he was having digestion issues and I’ve been seeing her ever since to keep my body in alignment and manage my migraines. She really takes the time to understand what’s going on, treat it and offer advice for managing it at home with exercise. I would recommend anyone struggling with chronic pain or migraines to book!

Amanda was great in helping my 12 weeks old newborn to improve his movements and get rid of his stiff neck/shoulders after a forceps delivery. The baby was clearly suffering when fed and hated sleeping and tummy time, and I really felt hopeless until a friend suggested we tried baby osteopathy. Amanda's massages were so helpful that the baby improved his eating and sleeping habits alongside being clearly happier to play. I will never thank her enough as she then also helped Matteo learning to roll later on. Now the child is a little crawler and I feel the work we did with Amanda was crucial in teaching him and his muscles how to work properly. I would recommend trying her service with confidence to any newborn parent out there who are at a loss.

Amanda has worked magic with a 10 year old injury and shared easy to follow and remember, self care exercises. And while Amanda was at it she opened up my diaphragm and reminded me how important it is to breath. I highly recommend Amanda!

I have been going to Amanda for years now and can highly recommend her. She has helped me with all sorts of aches and pains, especially during pregnancy and she also treated my newborn daughter for a couple of sessions too. She is friendly, welcoming, reassuring, knowledgeable and just really great at what she does.

I was given the tip to attend by a friend saying they would fix my knee pain and Amanda did within two sessions. This pain was making walking down stairs sore and sport impossible. As a result of a few visits and stretches suggested for when it needs a bit of care I’ve been able to move about pain free and can now run about on it happily.Then a few years later I returned to see if she could help with my shoulder and she did.Wonders are worked.
