Can't believe what was one of the best clubhouses in the country has been turned into a generic and soulless box. At least the bar staff were nice.

Great spot for a Christmas night out and good value. Nice venue with an extra upstairs bar area. Plenty of room for at least 150. Food not special but no worse than much more expensive venues. Staff inexperienced but pleasant. Lovely to be outside the city centre madness.

Nicely refurbished after the fire, however as clean and sparkly it may be, it still needs a touch of the nostalgia that has gone before to remind people of the historical sucesses of the sporting clubs it has housed.

Great venue for parties. I've been for birthdays and pre-wedding receptions. The bar is cheap and the staff are always great.

Refurbishment not yet complete. Looks stark, modern and soulless. Where is the memorabilia?Sound proofing in cafe is dreadful/ non existentImpossible to hear people when it's busy.

Baguette not fresh at least a day old but rest ok and coffée good. Very friendly service and reasonable prices. Other meals looked good
