This is a good choice with a set menu at lunch costing 9.95. Service is prompt and the food is tasty, with authentic Russian/Baltic options available. Note: vegetarians won't find the widest selection available, but there are a couple of tasty dishes suitable. The lady runni g the place is courteous and efficient. Definitely worth a visit if you find yourself hungry and looking for a tasty alternative to the usual.

Very slow service. Table booked for 12 people at 8pm on a very quiet Friday evening. Waited an hour after ordering before food arrived. One member waited over an hour for her drink! Staff got drink orders wrong 3 times and completely missed a dessert. Such a shame as the food was pretty good. I opted for a salad as potatoes, rice and dumplings are not for me. It was very tasty with smoked salmon and red caviar. Probably won't go again.

Booked a table for Christmas eve for the Christmas menu but when we turned up, we were told we had to book the Christmas menu seperately from the table. There was lots of open front gas fires dotted around the place to keep it warm, which wasn't very safe as there was small children in the restaraunt wanting to move about.A lot of the stuff on the menu was unavailable both food and drink.Food was expensive for what you got but the quality was decent.Overall a disappointing experience.

Lovely food and very pleasant service. Food was a bit slow coming but we probably wouldn't have minded if we hadn't had another engagement to go to. Once we told them that we were due elsewhere, they got the food to us very promptly. Food wasn't quite as good as the genuine Polish food that we enjoyed on our holidays and it certainly wasn't as cheap as Poland but it was very pleasant and we look forward to eating there again.

Gbk next door has closed so tried Baltic cellar. Soooo glad we did as we had a brilliant experience. Lovely surrounding s and 'feel' to the restaurant. Waitress was friendly and food was excellent, hot and serves just within acceptable timescale. Seems authentic enough and overall a great meal so will return.

The only reason I'm giving this one star is because no stars isn't an option. The food was absolutely disgusting and the majority of it looked as bad as it tastes. The restaurant was freezing cold. The mains were stale and reheated, poorly presented and for the most part outright vile! The staff were unattentive and rude! We weren't the only table returning food and when we asked for one dish to be removed from the bill bacause it was inedible, the manager was literally shouting at us saying that we didn't read the menu (which wasn't at all the issue). At one point they turned the music up so load no one could hear anyone else speak (bearing in mind this is a restaurant not a bar/club). Overall a shockingly bad evening which was very disappointing as the last time we ate there it had been lovely - standards have dropped significantly in a very short space of time!

Staff were friendly and good customer service. Restaurant was slightly cold. I didn't like the food, but that's nobody's fault I just don't like the general cuisine. Maybe worth a try if you are local!

Mixed experience. Pricey for what it is.'Freshly baked kaiser roll' was stale, deserts are rather average, main dishes are not bad, but £11 for 2 cepelinai is a little expensive.I will probably be back but will be careful with my order.

I can say it's pretty authentic having visited Moscow many times. It's also good if you're drinking vodka or other spirits. There are only a couple of good dishes on the menu though. Don't order anything cold or anywhere where the meat is thick as it's often undercooked. It's undercooked in Russia too but it's normal there but not here in the UK. They should alter the tastes a little towards UK tastes.
