Ceremonies by Laura Bell

Laura conducted our wedding ceremony on the 3rd of June this year and from start to finish when we enquired she was amazing. She was person centred as a couple, Laura wrote our whole ceremony script by hand by sending us a questionnaire a few months before the date, the finished product was beautiful and really captured us as a couple, the highs, lows, the battles, involved every member of our family in our ceremony including our children and our baby we lost in March 2020 which we even shared a moment and lit a candle for during the ceremony which meant so much as this is something we never forget about and was lovely to feel our baby that never made it here to earth with us could be there with us to see us unite and complete as a family.As part of a split family I asked if I could write a speech to my stepson during the ceremony to share with him some promises to him which was a lovely thing that Laura managed to put together. Everything was so well written and beautiful.During the ceremony to involve all our children we did a sand fasting where we poured separate little glass bottles of sand from our local beach and glitter for the children and poured them to combine them into a 3D frame to symbolise our joining of a separate family united and never separated again by the grains of sand/glitter.Laura always stayed in contact with us from booking (about 18months before ceremony until the day) she even sent us a beautiful Christmas card with seeds to grow a plant! When we wanted alterations to the ceremony script Laura was happy to do them as she wanted us to have the ceremony the way we wanted.She came to see us the day before to make sure everything was going ok, to check how we wanted everything, who was going to do what, so everything went so smoothly on the day and it really made everything just beautiful and we really couldn't have asked for anything more.The way the vows we're printed in booklets too, have been beautiful keepsakes we got a his and hers one along with a few other little bits. All of my friends and family have said how they cried through the ceremony because they felt they followed through our whole journey of our relationship from start to now our new chapter with learning some new intimate things we haven't shared before. We would never have got this experience if we'd have married anywhere else. We class Laura as not just a celebrant now, she's our friend. Thank you Laura Bell for everything. You are a beautiful woman, writer and we are so thankful for how incredible you made our day. If you are thinking of booking Laura Bell, do it you won't be disappointed. From initial meeting through to running our beautiful ceremony Laura was an absolute delight to work with and we're very grateful to her for making our ceremony so magical. Laura was an absolute joy to work with from start to finish. She really took the time to get to know us and bounce ideas around for what we could include. With Laura’s help, my (now) wife and I dove deep into our relationship and picked out all of the stories we wanted to talk about. In response, Laura produced a wonderful script that truly reflected our relationship, along with three key rituals sprinkled in. She helped include neat little touches along the way and was even able to make a wonderful last minute adjustment to honour my mother who had unfortunately passed away earlier that month.Rather than go through church hymns, or legal jargon, our ceremony was filled with joy and laughter, with readings from our favourite authors or media, to unique vows that reflected each other perfectly. Everything that Laura did made our ceremony absolutely magical and it was everything we had hoped for. A lot of our guests had been skeptical of us having a less traditional ceremony, but all doubts were blown away by what Laura produced and delivered on the day.

Our ceremony was without a doubt the most magical part of our wedding day and Laura's structure and delivery made up a huge part of that. It's not always just about that, it's also in a celebrants ability to put you at ease in a moment that can be quite nerve wracking. Laura gave off nothing but good positive energy and within 5 minutes of meeting her I felt as though I had known her for a long time. The rituals we chose were great and everything was so very professional. Thanks Laura!

Laura was incredible from start to finish. She was so personable and provided us with a ceremony so personal to us. A lot of our guests said it was the best ceremony they had ever been too. It was fun mixed with stories and readings. Would 100% recommend!

I can not thank Laura enough for the amazing ceremony she preformed!From the beginning Laura knew the right questions to ask and conversation we had together to get to know us as a couple.Laura gave us so many options of different things we could do within the ceremony, handfasting, planting a tree. I asked Laura about a smudging ritual and although Laura had not done one before, she went away and researched many different smudging rituals. I absolutely love Laura's way with words, personal and sincere. Laura & Lou Lou, what a dream team! They gave us the most magical, dreamy, personal, stunning wedding ceremony. It was so surreal but just incredible. The words that they so carefully wrote & sent to us beforehand to check we were happy, were even more beautiful read aloud, under the teepee & the trees. So many of our guests said how amazing the ceremony was, & it was sweet to see lots of teary, happy faces watching! One person said ‘it’s like they knew you!’ & I explained how the whole process with these lovely ladies worked & how individualised & personal what they do is. Everything is customisable from the wording, vows, types of rituals (we had a tree planting ceremony & a sand ceremony - our children helped with this bit - which were both very special & perfect for us), readings/poems, music, just everything! This talented duo gave us something so powerful & immensely special & we can’t thank them enough. A few times I forgot that there were guests watching, it was like it was just me, my partner, Laura & Lou Lou. We love our keepsakes too (vow books, stunning certificate, sand jar, lemon tree, the words from the ceremony…), we will treasure them all forever.We cannot recommend Fox & Star ceremonies enough - whatever your occasion, Laura & Lou Lou will make it even more magical than you’ve dreamed of!

Laura made the whole process so calm and easy. We met with her prior to having our script written and she was so knowledgeable it really put us at ease and helped us with some options we had for the ceremony! Mostly including our little ones in the day which was so important to us. The script she wrote for us was beautiful, and so fitting for us both and on the day she put us both at ease knowing she was there to help with anything (even tissues for my husband and suncream!) The ceremony was so personal for us and our 2 little ones who were involved in it all, and we had so many comments of how lovely she was and how personal and special the whole ceremony was. I can’t recommend Laura enough and would never ever consider recommending anyone else to others. Thank you so much again, one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.
