As someone whose experience of the damp industry is pretty negative I would thoroughly recommend Terry’s independent service. He is extremely knowledgeable and his advice . would save anyone who has a damp issue a lot of heartache and a great deal of unnecessary cost.

I got in touch with Western Specialists Surveys after Damp was picked up on a valuation of my property. Terry managed to squeeze me in within a week and conducted the survey in a proffesional manner. His knowledge was very impressive and quickly put me at ease. Even when the original valuer was asking, what i thought were ridiculous, queries Terry remained proffesional and and saw me through the process. The cost was very competitive and i most certainly recommend Westen Specialist Surveys!

Western Specialist Surveys (Damp & Timber )
I recently used W.S.S to carry out a damp and timber survey on a property I was looking to purchase. Being independent, the report we received was unbiased and not geared towards selling us remedies to problems that don't exist. It outlined problem areas, suggested solutions and included rough costings for each problem area. This report allowed me to renegotiate my initial house purchase price down with confidence. I would happily use W.S.S again in future house purchases.

Terry provided a non-invasive damp and roof timber survey for a house I am purchasing following my home buyers report raising some issues. I was happy that Terry read through my home buyers report to reproduce those issues, and then applied further investigation plus his experience to provide a more detailed explanation. He followed up his report with a lengthy phone conversation which helped answer any more questions I had. Very happy with his service and feel reassured with my purchase having his experience examine those issues

We hired Western Specialist Surveys to do a damp and timber survey on a property we are purchasing. Terry was very professional, punctual and helpful. He highlighted a potential problem to the property, not related to damp and timber, which we were not aware of. His survey was well written,with advice on what to do about various damp and timber issues. We would definitely hire Western Western Specialist Surveys again.

Cannot recommend him strongly enough! As well as having a very smooth and easy process booking Terry in for an independent pre-purchase damp and timber survey in a property in Oxfordshire, his advice and extensive knowledge was both extremely helpful and comforting. After receiving the comprehensive report (which arrived exactly when he advised I should expect it), I phoned up to clarify a few points I wasn't sure on how to proceed with as there were multiple options for how to make the necessary repairs. I came off the phone knowing much more and feeling much better, and also still feeling like I could phone again for more help if I needed it.

Terry recently completed a damp and timber inspection of a C1900 mid-terraced house we are in the process of buying. Terry was excellent from start to finish. Great communication, quick booking and very helpful with answering our questions. He very kindly walked us through the report after his survey, enabling a valuable opportunity to fully understand his findings. Particularly helpful as we're first time buyers. As a result of his inspection we have managed to negotiate a lower price with the seller. We would thoroughly recommend Terry, in fact we already have recommended him!
