Fairly busy, felt they could have done with a few more staff on the shop floor to assist with customer queries etc but the staff the were there were pleasant enough.

It's a good sized shop and everything is always laid out nicely, meaning you can find things easily. There's a decent baby furniture and car seat section, and the staff I've spoken to there are very knowledgeable. Parking is ample, but it is also very tight in the spaces.

Had what I needed and the staff member was helpful and had great knowledge on the product I needed on this visit & my previous visit.

Fantastic store, the staff in the Carlisle branch are so friendly and really go out of their way to help. I buy a lot of Lego and they also understand the importance of keeping the boxes as nice as possible. Highly reccomended.

Best place for buying toys, all reasonably priced, will exchange items with receipt without any problem

Carlisle store. At item was advertised at £14.99 on the shelf but was charged £19.99 at the till. We brought this to the attention of the till operator and was met with a 'computer says No!"' type response.E-mailed the customer service department (who I suspect are busy if the majority of the reviews on Trustpilot are to go by (64% are the lowest rating)). They acknowledged that it 'wasn't ideal service'. We then recontacted them asking if they'd refund the difference. Their response was that there's nothing they can do about this as the original query was raised in-store.A rather peculiar way to run a business particularly when so many are currently facing hard times. I wonder how long this company will be around for; if they are aiming for longevity in the high street

When it was open just before Christmas this store was virtually brand new and had just begun trading. Floor to ceiling with toys. Absolutely amazing. So much to choose from: from very early years to very big kids. Sales assistants were friendly, helpful and willing to offer advice on stock availability as well as delivery options. Wide aisles, good hygiene practices and tannoy announcement s about being safe whilst shopping.

My wife and I are expecting a new addition to our family, we went to Smyths in Carlisle to have a look at the travel systems and other items. We were greeted by a young man named Ethan whom was very pleasant to deal with and was a great help with our many questions. Thanks to him we left with a suitable purchase and felt happy that it was exactly what we needed. Thank you Smyths and especially Ethan.
