Please actually look at the reviews. A lot of one stars for a good reason. They have messed us around by misleading us over email by stating they do not have the keys to the property to then offer an open viewing. Clearly just trying to gain interest for a quick turn around, I have seen this strategy used before as a way to put unnecessary pressure on prospective tenants, leaving them feeling they should act quick to get the property before actually exploring the market. Absolutely no need to lie. If you cannot be truthful in pre letting, how can you you be trusted with documentation, fee handling and the management of the property? Avoid.

I would highly recommend Townend if you are thinking of selling your house. We booked a few estate agents to view our house before putting it up for sale and after meeting Mr Townend himself (the fastest to fit us in) we decided to go with them and cancelled the others. They booked us alot of viewings within a short space of time, and we ended up with more than one offer on the table. They are very professional and were always available to offer support and advice.

Had the pleasure of renting a great flat through Townsend.Living in the flat has been lovely and if my personal situation hadn’t changed I would have gladly stayed longer.As an agency they have been brilliant and when I needed to have something resolved it was done quickly and without any problem. And from past experiences I know that this does not always happen as quickly or efficiently with larger agencies as it has done with Townsend.The Team have been easy to deal with and they have been quick to respond for any queries I had in the beginning.I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely untrustworthy. Went to 2 different properties. First one I viewed I was told that if it doesn’t get sold it will be rented out easy. This came from the boss but then found out it was not fit for habitat. Which they new, not only wasted my time but wasted my money on surveyor and the many other people who came to see it. 2nd property was up for sale but failed to mention the tenants would not allow anyone to come see the property until he moved out, why would you have it up for sale and waste everyone’s time when no one can come to view it for 2 months!! Don’t waste your time completely untrustworthy company.
