We live near by and we've been quite a few times for evening meals. My favourite meal is the belly pork, and it's melt in the mouth and cooked to perfection. Great service, lovely clean environment. Highly recommended.

Total gem. Got here Friday afternoon and it was a warm welcome and the sort of place you can chill and read a paper while enjoying a pint. Went for a lovely walk and came back for dinner. Now it’s a bustling local with a great crowd. Dinner was wonderful. So well cooked and felt looked after. Room was amazing. Spacious and a welcome change to the usual sterile rooms you get from the big chains. Breakfast was also awesome. Went out to the Black Mountains for the day and back for dinner. Again great food and a surprisingly good wine list. Like I say, this place is a hidden gem and I will definitely be using this as a base again for a weekend visit of the stunning Welsh countryside. Can’t recommend enough.

Fantastic food in a lovely Pub! 7 of us went and every meal and bowl of Tapas served was Excellent. I had my first ever Goat Curry and it was simply perfection! Wonderfully spiced without being spicy with supebly tender and flavourful meat. I will be going again. Thank you!

Went recently for food. The location was great and the pub itself was really cosy with a great outside seating area.We both had tapas starters which were hit and miss (the chorizo overpowered the prawn skewers). The mains looks nice but mine was only lukewarm and the corn frittas were cold. My partner has been countless times and have only positive experiences so I will put this down to personal taste and an off night. The most annoying thing however, was a member of the bar staff in her early to mid twenties who just looked like she wanted to be anywhere apart from there. No smile, going through the motions and not what I would expect from a country pub.I would go back but please..... this time can I have a friendly smile just once?

Lovely beer garden friendly staff. Enjoyed the fish and chips and home made tartare sauce. Be mindful that last orders for food during the afternoon is 14 15.Great little stop off on the way to chain bridge inn.

Simply outstanding service. We arrived at the wrong time and the staff tried everything to get us a table. Even Buster the dog relaxed and enjoyed the food
