Worksop Road Aqueduct

Did this walk from darnall to Sheffield quays as an impulse .Didn't know what to expect .Very surprised at how well kept it was .No trouble , clean , wildlife too .Lovely walk into the quays and a drink by the canal basin from one of the local bars there .Never knew how beautiful it was in such an industrial area .

An absolute gem of a find. Have driven under the bridge 100s of times over the pat 50 years and never knew it was an aqueduct (built 1812). Can't remember ever coming across an aqueduct with one tunnel" for traffic and 2 "tunnels" for pedestrians. The stonework and engineering is awesome."
