FORTIFY JIU JITSU
What can I say - training at Fortify has changed my life for the better. Mark is a caring and knowledgeable coach and is a great teacher able to articulate himself in a variety of ways to make sure everyone gets a grasp of whatever technique you are learning. Mark has also fostered a culture of positivity and helpfulness at the club, with all of the higher grade members being happy to help out with techniques. If you are thinking of training BJJ in Sheffield this is the place to go whether you want to be part of a high performing competitive team, learn some self defence or just take up a new hobby in the company of excellent people.

Monkey (Mark) is an excellent coach. The club has a very friendly atmosphere. If you are looking to learn the basics or want train for competition this club has it all. Fortify has a high level of BJJ expertise throughout its students and are all happy to support you.Fortify is under 'Combat Base'. If you haven't heard of them try a Google search. FORTIFY JIU JITSU
Fortify is an excellent place to learn and improve your BJJ. Having trained at an excellent gym elsewhere in the UK I wasn't confident that I'd be able to find a good one in Sheffield. Having gone for several weeks I'm really pleased to have found Fortify. Everyone has been really helpful and friendly. Mark has gone above and beyond to help and support me which i'm massively appreciative of. The level of instruction is demonstrated by the quality of the students; people much smaller than me who've only started in recent months are already very effective and humble me! Thanks to all for the teaching and rolls so far.

Mark (the BB professor) is a great teacher and welcomes new comers really well.I enjoyed training here when i was in Sheffield for a few days. The facility is nice with clean surroundings.The other guys and girls are good to train with. Recommended!

FORTIFY JIU JITSU
Complete beginner- been going along for a few weeks and blown away by the set up here. Did a bit of research beforehand on a few clubs- all looked great but the vibe at Fortify seemed right up my street- wasn’t disappointed. Mark’s a top coach and the rest of the group are really welcoming and friendly. Can only comment on the beginners classes but they’ve been top notch. I’ve definitely been bitten by the bug!

FORTIFY JIU JITSU
Mark is one of the best coaches I’ve ever worked with. Having done various sports all my life, and a lot of the times being only one of a handful of girls, Mark has made me feel the most welcome whilst in a martial arts environment that I ever have. There is a philosophy at the gym that everyone is welcome and that is certainly true. There is a real sense of wanting people to progress not only inside the gym but outside aswell which makes about a very welcoming troop of people. If you’re a female reading this review and you’re wanting to try BJJ, but your struggling for confidence to start, then Fortify is the perfect place.
