Jay and his team have made buying a new kitchen a pleasure. The quality of the kitchen, the workmanship and the attention to detail is outstanding.Jay and Nikki run a great team, from Jay’s very first visit to our home everything happened when they said it would. Jay listened to how we used our kitchen and his design works perfectly. Every member of their team cared about what they were doing and it shows in the finished kitchen.We would highly recommend them.

Jay's design was excellent .The finished kitchen looks wonderful. All fixtures and fittings are of a high quality. Installation went like clockwork and after care could not be faulted. We would definitely recommend Authentic Kitchens .

Similar to a previous poor review, we too had a totally horrendous experience with the owner and director of this kitchen company, Jay. I have never left a review for anything before, ever, but felt absolutely compelled to do so on this occasion. I have left it just over a week before posting this review as I wanted to see if our reaction was just, and it is.Our first and second appointments with Jay were fine, we were happy with the kitchen designs as they they looked really good. We arranged a third appointment to finalise the last few details, to pay a deposit and to book in a date for work to commence.At the second appointment with Jay we made a number of alterations, including the removal of some items and addition of others. This meant Jay had to send us a revised quote. We obviously expected the quote to reflect the changes but were surprised that it had increased as much as it had. With no individual items priced within the quote it was difficult to work out where the additional cost had come from.At the third appointment we simply wanted to understand a breakdown of the quote and why it had gone up by so much. We had no intention of changing anything. We believed it would be the different choice of quartz but again, we were just seeking clarity.Jay instantly became irritated, extremely aggressive and started raising his voice. He was confrontational, unbelievably rude, condescending, patronising and very disrespectful.At one point he threw his folder down on the worktop and said ‘forget it, just forget it’. At no point had we made any personal comments or made any accusations. This was a completely unacceptable, irrational and bizarre response to a very simple and normal question that any customer would ask. My husband and I were totally shocked and couldn’t believe this was happening. I walked out in tears closely followed by my furious husband.The only silver lining to this very dark cloud is that we, thankfully, had this experience before we purchased a £45,000 kitchen from him and not afterwards. A traumatic and truly appalling experience.

Absolutely delighted with our new kitchen from Authentic Kitchens.We had quite a few quotes from kitchen companies but were impressed with the ideas and positivity from Jay and Nicky during the design / sales process (without any of the hard sell). Jay listened to what we wanted and came up with a good design and an overall price that compared very well with the competition for such a good quality product.All of the Authentic Kitchens team were excellent craftsmen who obviously had been working together for many years and everything ran smoothly to a well rehearsed plan. We were very impressed with the quality of finish - cabinet fitting, floor tiling, plastering, electrician and worktops from Cheshire Marble and would have no hesitation recommending Authentic Kitchens - nice people to deal with throughout the team.

Stress free kitchen installation. This is an excellent company to trust with your new kitchen. This company can do everything, relocate gas and water supply install heated flooring, new ceilings electrical rewires, the lot. Following a site visit by Jay a plan was generated and discussed at a meeting at their showroom. Following this we went away for 2 months then came back with our changes. Jay was very responsive to our ideas and drew up a new plan. At a second showroom meeting the plan was agreed and we paid a £2000 deposit. Jay gave us a start date and expected end date. Followed by a daily work schedule and contact details for all the tradesmen carrying out the work. This schedule was maintained rigourously during the installation . Can't fault the work carried out.

Great service from Jay and Nicky, they have lots of experience which really helped us make some decisions on design layout. We had some minor issues after completion but they came back to us quickly to sort. would use them again.

Our Kitchen was fitted in October 2020 and we are still delighted with it after 6 Months.We had three quotes for kitchen installation one of which was from a company we had used previously for a bedroom installation. Authentic had been recommended by a friend who had had their kitchen fitted about a year previously and were really impressed so we invited them to quote.Jay called to the house measured up and we discussed the design and he provided 2 layouts and quotations. We chose the layout that was best for us compared the costs with the other companies and chose Authentic. Their quotation included removal of the old kitchen, alterations to the electrics to accommodate the new kitchen including an induction hob, replastering and skimming the walls, plumbing, kitchen units, appliances, and quartz worktops. We got separate quotes for the flooring as Authentic don’t install the flooring we had chosen.Once we had appointed authentic we made slight changes to the design none of which altered the cost, however we did notice on the quote that the tap priced was not as requested which we knew was dearer than in the quote. We pointed this out to Nicki and she included the tap but said as it was their mistake they would not charge us the extra.We were provided with a schedule of work with dates, contacts of the installers, the installation followed the schedule and was completed as programmed.We have been extremely impressed by the workmanship, tidiness and finish, the work was carried out in October/November and even with the pandemic was carried out on time and safely.Walls and ceiling reskimmed, the finish is excellentElectrics reinstalled up to suit the revised layout including lighting, all certificates were issued upon completion, super workmanship.Kitchen fitting excellent including fitting sundry shelves etc to suit our requirementsQuartz worktops installed by Cheshire marble, went to great lengths to get the layout spot on including the curved setting out of the breakfast bar.We have had very few snags, one of which was a sight scratch on the glass in one of the cabinet doors but have had no issue with them coming back to carry out replacement.

Absolutely thrilled with our new kitchen! Jay listened to what we wanted and after a couple of tweaks we got the perfect design with a hidden cooker hood and so much more cupboard space than we had before! The quality is excellent and Neil who fitted it is a perfectionist and complete professional, always keen to ensure we were totally happy! Thanks to Nicky too for her prompt replies and actions to any queries!! Jay and Nicky make a formidable team and just want to convey our thanks and appreciation of credit where it is due! Would not hesitate to recommend!
