I absolutely love the beautiful Holmes Glass vase I bought at a pop-up shop when visiting family in Selkirk. Such a unique-looking quality piece of art that adds beauty to my home. Will definitely be visiting their studio next time I’m down for a visit.

We've been on holiday in Schotland a few years ago and visited the workshop of Holmes Glass in Hawick. Peter and Andrew were very kind and our sons were invited to help make their own piece. We had a nice set of objects made by them, which we picked up later.Last December I saw the robins on their website, and had to have one! Very carefully wrapped and shipped to the Netherlands.

I contacted Holmes Glass for a custom piece of glassware for my parents golden wedding anniversary, they were very friendly and welcoming when I went to their workshop with my ideas. I settled on vase with a gold colour scheme and was impressed with the quick production time and cost.Very happy customer.

Our group visited the studio for a glass experience, as this was something my daughter has always wanted to try. The whole day was such fun, plenty of hands on time expertly guided by Peter and Andrew, clearly both masters of their craft with a passionate love of glass they are willing to share. The experience was excellent value for money - and so fulfilling to be able to produce something of beauty to provide an enduring memory of a wonderful day together learning something new.

We visited their Studio this morning and purchased a few pieces. Peter mentioned they'd be blowing glass that afternoon and to pop back, which we did. Peter was finishing off a piece of art work, but asked that we stayed, so that he could show us how a piece is made from scratch. He made a beautiful vase, and then let our 2 kids blow their own piece if glass. They had a ball, and Peter made us so welcome. If your in the area, definitely visit their lovely studio. Thanks again for making such a fuss of the children and for making us feel so welcome. The McKinnon's

Peter and Andrew accommodated a small group of us to experience glass blowing and l can say that it was the most fascinating few hours I’ve spent in a long time. The Father and Son team we’re very warm and welcoming, calmly guiding us through the workshops processes.Even though we were clearly aware of the extreme heat in the molten glass we were working with, it didn’t detract from the enjoyment one bit. Purely because of the reassuring professionalism of the teaching. We each came away with a unique piece of hand blown glass of our own making. But the privilege of spending time in a professional working studio with two extremely talented craftsmen was priceless.A gallery visit is must, but trying the process gives a whole new level of appreciation for the work involved.Cannot recommend this highly enough.

Spent an afternoon having a Holmes Glass Experience mentored by the excellent Peter. What a fantastic/fascinating time. If you've ever been intrigued by glass blowing and ornament fabrication this should be on your bucket list. The experience was one of the best gifts I've ever received.

5 of us had a fantastic day learning to blow glass here. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to introduce us to the craft in a calm and patient manner. Highly recommend to anyone interested in the art.

I booked a glass blowing experience for my partner's birthday as he had always wanted to give it a go. I was blown away by the experience and I was just observing.Andrew and Peter demonstrate how to craft the piece (in our case a vase) using the colours we had selected. Just getting to watch the craftsmanship in action was incredible and seeing it come together in a short amount of time was impressive. All the while my partner was asking plenty of questions which they were more than happy to answer. Once the demonstration was done my partner got to take charge and make the vase for himself. Andrew and Peter were there guiding him through each step and taking over if things started to go awry. The instruction given was very clear and the gentleman couldn't have been better at explaining and assisting with the process. There was plenty of time to chat with them and discuss their business and craft. As this was something my partner has always been fascinated with he came absolutely made up with the experience.Of course once they were done there was the shop up front to peruse and I picked up a gorgeous dark brown blown pumpkin they had leftover from Halloween which they packaged for the journey home.We can't wait for Aaron's vase to arrive in the post. This will be an experience we will cherish forever.Thank you so much Andrew and Peter (and of course Nelson!!)

We went to the studio for a glass blowing experience and we had such a brilliant time. It was so interesting to learn about the process and see all the work that goes into a finished product. Peter and Andrew are so talented and friendly, our daughter even got to make her own Christmas bauble!
