Went to see the falls as part of a circular walk that appeared to follow the River Greta. Parked at St. Giles' church and explored Bowes Castle on the way down to the river.Unfortunately, it was pouring down all day so I didn't catch it at it's best. The walk didn't follow the river, in fact it was completely out of sight for most of it. To get to the falls was a scramble down over wet rocks but nonetheless worth the effort. Limited places to take photos and would definitely be better in the dry?If you do visit make time to look around the castle and church.

Stunning waterfall and easy to reach from Bowes village centre. Follow the riverbank along a path for the best view.

Nice but the old large pipe that was fitted over the falls is now sticking out below them.
