We had a bottomless brunch for 17 of us for a works do. We had our own area set up the top. Our waitress was amazing, she constantly kept our drinks topped up (we had loads) and she was very attentive. Food was delicious and they catered well for the vegetarian and vegan we had in our party. I definitely recommend the Mango Daiquiri cocktail, that was the best! I would definitely go back and felt it was great value for money!

We recently visited for bottomless brunch and we had a great time! The staff were all really attentive and friendly, Jack & Brandon in particular - they made sure we had lots of fun, thank you both!

We came here for a Bottomless Brunch for my friend’s birthday on July 23rd. We booked this over a week in advance. Our waiter, Abbie, was absolutely incredible; I genuinely couldn’t fault her.Unfortunately, she had been left alone to cope on her own, with absolutely 0 support from her manager, Matt (who was sat within arms reach of the bar for our entire booking). This meant Abbie was waiting on our table, making our cocktail jugs, running our food and drinks and clearing our table, all the while serving any walk-in customers. This was visibly too much work for one person, especially considering we later found out she’s only worked there around a month.Overall, the experience was incredibly underwhelming, especially for the £38.50 per person price tag. This could’ve easily been avoided if the manager had shown his staff any support whatsoever.

Cocktails - always tasty.First time eaten food there: cheese and bacon burger - big and delicious. My butterfly chicken breast - over-cooked and little bit too dry and too salty. I don’t like hot meat to be placed on mixed salad as you cannot really eat the salad anymore. Would see the little salad with dressing instead on a side. Fries were very tasty.

went for a friends bottomless brunch meal, was the worst thing, only good thing was that were tasting nice, we went on a saturday which could of been busy but there were not busy. we got 3 rounds of drinks for £35.80!??? which was awful, food came out 15 mins before the end of our brunch and sizes were awful and food was cold. asked the server because we had barely any drinks to have another round after we finished. she approved this and made us pay for the round of drinks. which was a extra money on the bill. was not a good experience and will not come again

As at yesterday 18th November, 2023...They have a very lousy skinny door security guy (not the hunk guy or the one checking ID security guys oh) with zero manners of appoach, impatient, provoking, full of himself, lucky to be in the Uk...if not. He ruined my guy's bd outing by excusing us from the line after I even paid for 3 people and a lady. The guy had the odacity to recall the girl I paid for out from the lounge for her to pay for her self so he can refund my money back. He is going to run the owner down financially. I just invited my guys for the first time and the stupid bouncer gave a bad impression of his services, even used insulting language on a customer, raised his voice, embarrassed himself, made Monarch loose a couple of customers especially me cos I had intentions on spending on my bd guy! Immediately we walked out, a pretty laddy offered us free" ticket to Drift just opposite and we had the fun of our lives..."

We went for “bottomless” brunch at The Monarch on Saturday evening (28/1) which was due to start at 5pm and last 1.5 hours. We were a party of some 25 people so were allocated the upstairs space, which was booked in December for a 30th, so you’d expect more than one poor waitress serving us all. Wrong. This poor girl was up and down all night and was actually a credit to the place had it not been for their stupid brunch policies and other issues we faced. Some of our party were late, but throughout the evening instead of asking the person who’d booked the event, and who’s birthday it was, what they wanted to do, when we were ready for food, etc, other members of the group were asked to make decisions. This delayed our start so we were without drinks for some time. Prosecco was brought up in coolers, but for those (like myself) who cannot drink we were offered no alternative… 40 minutes it took for me to eventually receive my mocktail.Cocktails come in wine carafes for four to share (although that definitely makes for a small drink), chocked full with crushed ice, which created a situation I can only liken to when you try to quickly empty a bottle with the whirlpool method, as the badly shaped jugs with that amount of ice just dumps the entire cocktail on the table. We quickly saw why they left us with unsightly blue roll and spray… If you’re lucky enough to get any of your cocktail in your glass you’re not allowed to order more until you’ve drank up, and as the cocktail servings were small anyway and took time to make people were often left without drinks for some time. It feels like they entirely miss the point of bottomless, or indeed customer service in general.A complaint was made about the delay in our start and slow service so our time slot was increased by half an hour (taking us to 7pm). Our food finally arrived, cold I might add, at 6:30pm. It was amazing really that it was cold, particularly the wraps as they looked and tasted like they’d be cast into Mount Doom and plated up. The rest of the food I can only describe as mediocre; at best. Finally the ongoing debate about the various complaints (with who I assume was a manager) was completely unacceptable and unnecessarily dragged out. I was sat at the opposite end of one of the long tables we were allocated, but this member of staff continually objected and argued, even going to the extent of reviewing their CCTV to check how many bottles of Prosecco we’d received at the start (and brought up another and started just pouring it into random empty glasses across the 25 of us… it was so awkward and strange. It just felt like an excuse to not provide a discount). He kept going downstairs and coming back for another go over and over again. The lovely waitress, Bryony, was eventually instructed to start taking our payments whilst he continued arguing, clearly getting more and more agitated and frustrated and his only excuse for our poor evening was that they were busy. The table had been booked, and deposits paid at the beginning of December. More than enough notice to ensure adequate staffing levels?! Eventually, by around 7:45pm I’d had enough of watching him argue with the birthday girl for over an hour, so I got up, told him how wildly inappropriate his behaviour was and that we were leaving now we had paid. He backed off quickly and allowed us to then leave in peace but obviously the whole evening had already been tainted which was a shame because it’s not cheap and had been planned for some time.I wouldn’t recommend this place, even if it was the last eatery in Portsmouth. From their poor planning, cheap food and stingy cocktails to their rude and inappropriate manager. With so much decent competition I can’t imagine this place will last long.
