I was really impressed with Solarshield. I needed glazing on some windows and had zero industry knowledge. Danny was very helpful with advising on samples, efficacy, timelines, etc. The team was great about enquiries and billing (Kim and Alison) and Andre and the installers were friendly and professional. I love the end result- it looks just like I wanted and am so pleased to have found this company. We will be using them again! Thanks, all!

We previously had Solar Shield apply UV protective film to all the windows of our home several years ago but, due to replacing the windows, needed to repeat the process. The window film itself is very good and the fitters who came to do the work were excellent, professional and did a fabulous job.The two star review is a reflection of the utterly unacceptable treatment my partner received from the Solar Sheild office staff. We had arranged to make a cash payment upon completion of the work. We run a farm and are on a tight dawn to dusk schedule and do not like to have large amounts of cash in the house for any longer than necessary. We had to take a day off and hire additional help on the day to have the window films done, thusly, I arranged to pick up the cash from the bank first thing in the morning on the day of the job, leaving my partner at home to supervise the work.Unfortunately, upon arriving at the bank, I was informed that the ATMs were down and there was a systematic computer problem nationwide. The bank said they would hopefully get things up and running in an hour or two and that they would keep us informed. When I got home I called the bank incessantly, as witnessed by the Solarsheild fitters, to see if there were any updates. Due to the issues, we were also struggling to get onto our online accounts. Frustrated by the lack of progress, I drove to the bank again to see what I could do. In the mean time my partner called Solar Sheild to inform them of the issue and let them know we would do everything possible to get them paid ASAP.When I got home I found my partner very upset and she informed me that she had spoken to two employees at Solar Sheild (we have their names but are unsure whether Google allows reviewers to divulge this information) who had been extraordinarily rude and aggressive toward her. It was suggested that if payment was not made immediately, the fitters would be instructed to pull all the film back off all the windows which was very upsetting for a lady alone in her home to hear. A second employee (the manager of the first from what I understand) insinuated she was trying to swindle the company and berated her for not having collected the cash earlier! He then suggested that the bank having issues was a fabricated story! My partner told him to phone the bank right away to confirm the issue. He did this and phoned my partner back and agreed that the bank were having issues but, instead of apologising, continued to berate her “for not being more organised.” I got home to find her stunned and very upset.Being a repeat customer on a large job I am astonished by the disgusting language and attitudes that were adopted by these employees. This was wholly unprofessional and unsavoury way to treat a customer and caused a great deal of unnecessary stress in a situation that was entirely beyond anyone’s control. We were eventually able to make payment via bank transfer within an hour or so of the job being completed which is an incredibly reasonable window in which to pay an invoice.

I am providing this poor review as I have been given no choice by this company, it's my only form of come-back to warn others. I purchased solar window films from Solarshields for my south-east facing flat which becomes unbearably and ridiculously hot when full sun is on it, at any time of year. I was hoping that solar films would reduce even just a bit of solar gain and reduce the temperature inside by a couple of degrees. I wasn't asking for much. But No. The solar films actually made my flat HOTTER! I have weather stations in various rooms and there is no doubt, my flat is HOTTER since the films were installed. Not only that, the company were not remotely interested in helping me resolve this, not giving me any reasonable explanation of why this occurred. I believe the films are actually keeping heat in the flat and not allowing it to escape. The flat doesn't even cool down much at night now. I can't actually believe it. I was doubtful if the films would have any effect, but what I did NOT expect was for the flat to get hotter! I kept being sent blurb by Solarshields on what solar gain is and how it works"

I have worked with Solarshield on a number of branding projects. They have always been highly professional. Their installation team were tidy and completed the various projects without any disruption and with excellent feedback from my clients.
