Richard is a great and caring teacher with a vast knowledge that comes from a life of dedication to martial arts. He has studied numerous different arts and is able to provide a complete curriculum to enable you to stand a good chance of defending yourself in different scenarios and against different styles. I have only stopped training because of long term injury. Thanks for the lessons!

I’m my teens I trained under Richard and for the last year I have started training again and without a doubt one of the most composed, and articulate teaching styles I have come across! His outlook and way of analysing an approach of martial arts is still next to none and the openness to question and discuss is a true virtue to his style ! I have known richard most of my life and I’m still learning new things about Richard’s talents and approach to martial arts and for me this really sets him out from all the other classes I have trained with, the class dynamic is like no other everyone is open and kind and helpful to new comers of all levels.After coming back after 10 years it’s a pleasure to see how his style and system and teaching approach has also evolved I cant recommend this martial arts school enough !James Cathcart
