I came here when I finished school to go on and do my Level 1 Hairdressing and Beauty. The staff are lovely and work at a pace that is reasonable for you but makes sure the task is still finished. The groups are small so this means each individual get more attention when needing help. They also help you prepare for the real world and help you find a place you would think you would enjoy working. Honestly couldn’t thank all the staff enough for the amazing time they’ve gave me while being here and the amazing job they do!

I came here when I finished my first year at Sunderland college,to do my first year of level 1 hair and beauty. I was nervous at first but they help you get your confidence. Came across ALD by accident when looking for a local barber that didn't just cater for the shortest of mens hair styles.The tutoring team are great, give detailed demonstrations and instructions when needed to trainees to ensure the clients receive a great standard cut.I've witnessed multiple trainees develop not only their skill sets over the time I've been going here , but also their customer service and approach too.I would recommend ALD for a client or aspiring Barber alike.Keep up the great work!

Completed my level 1 and 2 hairdressing course as well as a advance cutting course, I absolutely loved attending, its such a friendly atmosphere and the teachers are amazing, recently completed some online courses with them too which were really helpful and helped expand my knowledge a bit more, would defo recommend them!!!

I started at ALD on the hairdressing course level 1 and 2 as an over 19 student, I went in with no experience and very nervous, it was the best decision I have made the tutors are great they make you feel relaxed and have built my confidence up so much, I loved my time with them and I'm hopefully looking to start more courses with them in the future.

Been training here for the past 3 month. Lovley tutors and made me feel so comfortable whilst making me more motivated every week. I enjoyed doing this course and looking forward to September to see if we can get level 2 started.

I started ALD as a mature student with no confidence as a level 1 hairdresser, fast forward 18 months and I'm now a fully qualified level 2 hairdresser and also completed a cutting course. Staff here are absolutely amazing at what they do, they are very supportive, understanding and patient, I have also had my hair done here many times lots of different colours and styles. I recommend this salon to student's of any age and ability and to any clients looking for their hair done at very cheap prices but with professional results.
