Monton Sports Club

On this occasion I was there delivering a wedding cake, but have been to many functions here too and it has always been well organised with nice food and a lovely outdoor area if the weather is good!

This is an amazing venue for weddings and vow renewals. I'm a celebrant and it's been my pleasure and privilege to conduct ceremonies at Monton Sports Club.There''s a side room for the ceremony and the main bar area with room for formal dining. The staff are lovely too!

I spent my time when I've been here on the field separate to the cricket place where is open to public use where dog walkers take there dog and I've seen football games on this very field aswell known the place since I was like 3-4 years old I'm 28 this year, I've seen this little field of grass expand over the years and it's bigger than it was all them years ago.

Went for a presentation evening. The place is nice enough but drinks are pricey.

I've been here for weddings and funerals, thankfully they do a very good job at making it look like a different place for each. Staff are lovely and the food is homely. A much bigger place than it looks. Would recommend :)

Went to a wedding here. The service and rooms were beautiful. The Sraff worked very hard , they were polite and smartly dressed. The food was hot and very tasty. Well done to the Chef. The Events Manager did an excellent job of putting it all together. Well done to all

I recently shot a wedding here. Great venue and great staff.

Attended a wedding ceremony and reception at the club. The ceremony and reception rooms were exceptionally well presented and the staff well organised. They did the couple proud. The DJ was excellent and the photographer was one of the best I’ve ever witnessed, they both had great people skills and big personalities.The waitresses worked very hard if a little disjointed, I had the added benefit of mushroom soup spilled down the back of my suit jacket, nothing a good dry cleaner can’t rectify.The food after the ceremony, was, well, ok, but the meat and potato pie in the evening was well above average.The down side was the bar prices, a double Jameson and one piece of ice £12 , thought I was in the Hilton, A pint of lager take out a bank loan. Oh ! The bar is card only, no cash payments.Overall, the Club did the bride and groom proud, but the guests left with a tear in their eye, whether as a result of the ceremony or the bar prices I’m unsure.

Held our daughters wedding reception here 16/09/2023, from making the booking 18 months ago, Cat, Ros & Petrina have been amazing, very professional and attentive to detail, food was good quality and their knowledge of allegens was excellent, along with DJ Phil Bridge and photographer Mike Carroll of Every Body Perfect they worked together as a team to ensure we had an amazing day, many thanks everyone including waiting on staff and bar staff.
