I’ve learned a lot!It was very important not only to copy the accent ( which is definitely helpful) but to understand the position of the tongue for each sound, and how the mouth muscles work. I’ve realized the necessity of muscle exercises for clear pronunciation.The course is well structured and user friendly. All materials are explained in plain English. It was awesome that a difficult theme is told compared with your native language (e. g. schwa sound is explained through the Russian word “oblako”).Actually, I’ve never had a goal to sound like a native British but this course helped to sound more confident and that is amazing! Comprehensive, well structured, and easy to follow. It helped me understand, exercise and improve lot's of sounds I have studied before but did not get right. It has carefully structured and illustrated explanations and follow up exercises. The illustrations helped me a lot, every other course on pronunciation I tried before did not have them. This program is not a regular classroom/recorded program where a tutor bombards you with lot of theory lessons and you get overloaded with the stuff which you can't soak. Luke has actually taken a scientific approach to explain you why you pronounce differently and how you can improve your accent towards Standard British English. His own accent is very clear and very close to Standard accent. Best part is that the program is customized with your native language that helps you to decode the fact why you pronounce differently. I was searching for a video course on British pronunciation as I work on my accent reduction (my mother tongue is Ukrainian) and eventually came across 'Improve your accent' by Luke. First of all, the programme is well-structured and addresses all the important topics such as commonly confused sounds, rhythm, intonation, etc.. Secondly, it was very comfortable to do the tasks on the website as it's extremely user-friendly and you do not have to be tech-savvy that much. Finally, it goes without saying that the course lived up to my expectations and I will definitely recommend it to others. Thank you for such a decent product!
