Mardanan's Croft (Campsite)

I had a wonderful experience at Mardanan's Croft Campsite! It was a perfect retreat for a nature lover like me, with its quiet and peaceful surroundings. The beautiful views of the countryside were truly mesmerizing. Moreover, the host was fantastic, making the stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this campsite to anyone seeking a tranquil getaway in nature.

Cannot fault this lovely little spot! We rang whilst we were boarding the 6.30pm ferry from Isle of Skye, the owner was super friendly and helpful. We drove to the campsite in darkness and arrived at 10:30pm to be greeted with the owner. Totally unexpected as the site is unmanned but the owner was incredibly polite and welcoming. Apart from EHU, there are no facilities but the owner informed us that we could use the leisure centre down the road (5 min drive) for showers (£3). (They we’re also very friendly even with a wedding going on!)Uninterrupted panoramic views and an incredibly kind welcome!A must visit site, we will definitely be returning on our next road trip! Our favourite stay in Scotland by far!

Great wee croft for 3 campervans, you need to have on board toilet and washing facilities as the site only has EHU and fresh water but very peaceful place, sea views and good value for money! Weather permitting the sun sets right in front of you! Host is lovely, very helpful and gives good tips on where to visit and things to do! Would highly recommend a stop off here if you are visiting the Isle of Lewis! Lovely beaches within walking sill distance too!

We pitched up very short nice with our campervan and got greeted by the lovely owner's dad - what a gent and very helpful. Very handy and scenic location, was worth staying through a stormy night to wake up to a beautiful setting. Showers and toilets in the sport centre a short drive away l (and yes we can recommend going bowling there on a rainy evening). Tip top, would come again as the drinking water, electricity, bins and solid ground was exactly what we needed.

The best place we stayed on the island! Superb service and knowledge of area from the hosts. Wonderful views. Electric hook up and water on site. Cdu just down road. Great community spirit in area. Loved it!! I'm a country girl so could easily live there. Well done nardanans croft. Would highly recommend. Take care.

This is a peaceful site and close to the local shops, pubs and the beach. It's also a 10 minute drive to the Butt of Nes and the lighthouse.The owners are superb and make you feel really welcome. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need.This was a special place for us and although the weather wasn't kind, the warmth of the welcome and the peace and solitude made this a very memorable stay.

Fantastic little stop with our campervan. Ehu and drinking water and flat ground with short walk to the beach. Lovely hosts, very warm and hospitable! Toilets and showers £3pp, at Sports centre (a short drive from site) , plus chemical waste facilities. Thank you both for your lovely spot and all the best, Claire and Jonny x

Absolutely loved this campsite! Can’t recommend it enough! The owners father was very helpful. We were greeted by him as we entered the site. He told us about local facilities and provided us with a water hose as we didn’t have one. There is beautiful scenery surrounding the area and a small beach nearby. Honestly I cannot recommend it enough. It was the highlight of our Lewis/Harris motor home holiday! Beautiful memories where made ❤️

Perfect site in every way. Cannot fault the location, uninterrupted views. We cycled to the amazing Eoropie beach, on to the lighthouse at Butt of Lewis and on to the harbour, Port of Ness, which has a beautiful beach too. As it was a Sunday cafes were closed but scenery was spectacular. Donald and his 2 daughters are lovely, very friendly and willing to offer advice on where to go. Thank you, we hope to return.
