Last year I was in Brighton for work and needed a quick wash, blowout and styling. It was my first time at a salon and he did such a fantastic job, made me feel so pretty and my hair lasted the full work-event (2-3 days). That same year I had to travel and attend so many other events and visited many salons across the world from Finland, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany etc and NOBODY was able to achieve the nice look David was able to.Magic hands and an eye for how to compliment your looks and work with your hair. David also gave tons of tips of products I should get for my hair and regrettably I had lost the list and contact info until I stumbled upon it today and felt the need to write a review.Thank you so much David. If I ever come back to Brighton I will come by again.

I was looking for a hair stylist in Brighton to do balayage and a cut for my daughter, when I came across Vybe hair salon. We were greeted by David who made us feel immediately at ease, and I explained that she wanted a natural and subtle colour change because she was still at school. My daughter found her first visit to a hair stylist a fantastic experience and was overjoyed with the end result. She left for school today feeling much more confident in herself, and received many compliments from friends and staff at school. Thanks David for a great job, and would definitely recommend Vybe Hair Salon. Sue and Ella.

I was visiting England from the States and on my last full day of the trip, my friends and I decided to spend a day in Brighton. I originally thought that I would only get a haircut but I asked Dave if he had time for me to go darker and achieve a color that was closest to my natural dark brown that was already growing in. I had a blonde balayage from a few months ago still on the ends of my hair that was just so dry from the bleach that I wanted to completely get rid of it. He kindly told me that they would be able to do that for me and the entire experience was so pleasant! Shakira was the other stylist who did the hair dye process for me with Dave's assistance from time to time. I really liked that Dave was guiding the process in the midst of helping another customer!! We all bonded about the States and England and I could not have had a better experience here! The color was absolutely beautiful and it was slightly lighter than my natural roots growing in but I did not mind it at all because it still looked beautiful and it was very natural looking (which is what I wanted most.) Dave apologized for it taking longer than he promised but I did not mind at all because they were so nice that I did not even keep track of time. Dave also explained to me that I can ask my hairdresser back at home to achieve the color of my roots but I loved the way it turned out so I do not think I will need additional coloring. I would recommend this salon and I wish I lived in Brighton so that they can be my regular stylists!!! The music was also on point and just made the experience 100% better!

Recently I did my hair color in vybe .It was an amazing experience for me. David did perfectly.I was so scared in the beginning about the colors and all but David suggested a nice color for my skin tone.Once he was done I was extremely happy with the outcome. My color, cut and overall look was great. I was so happy to see my hair look so great and I loved everything that was done. I highly recommend this salon for your new look because it's worth it.

Looking at hairdressing salons online, I jumped in on Vybe ! Went yesterday and had the best cut in a very long time. Some say that short hair is no problem. Wrong !!! Having someone with such skills and dedication is golddust. I was so happy.Thank you David Smith

Easily the worst experience with a salon I’ve ever had. For a company that says how important customer service is, I was treated awfully.1. I asked for a balayage to cover my roots that had grown out from previous highlights and blend in, stylist said I should have highlights instead as it would ‘look the same’. She proceeded, and the end result was poor to say the least. Pics for evidence. The lighting in the salon is bad, as a few staff mentioned prior. I had a blow dry which wasn’t completed properly. I was only able to see the mess they made once I had stepped out into natural lighting.2. Went into the salon to ask for them to fix my hair, and was introduced to Warren who agreed it was awful, and booked me in for a fix up. I went in and had the treatment done. I heard conversations where the manager/owner was telling Warren to charge me full if I didn’t complain, but if i did complain I should just be charged £30. Red flag. Treatment finished and looked better. Was told I had to pay £30 for the blow dry, so I paid without argument. Stepped out into natural light, and instead of brown to match my natural hair colour the top of my hair was now auburn/ginger. Pic attached.3. Emailed saying I wasn’t happy as I now have ruined hair (my hair is long so it’s not an easy fix as it needs to grow out), and that I wanted a refund. Michelle told me to speak to Jay, another stylist, so he could fix it. I said no as I’ve already had 2 treatments and I don’t want another bad one, so I asked for a full refund again.4. They ignored my emails and messages for a month. They previously responded nearly instantly. Found out they blocked my Facebook account, so messaged them on my partners account. Michelle replied saying she would email me her situation. A few days pass and we try to message them on my partners account. This account is now blocked.5. I send an email (all emails and messages sent were polite and professional) saying how I know they’ve blocked us, and we’ll have to take it further if we don’t hear back. Funnily enough, they respond in 20 minutes, disputing my claims, saying it was MY fault, and that I was threatening and harassing them along with other lies.Regardless of however many years of experience their team have they still cannot provide such good service so don’t be fooled.I have read many reviews from this hair salon, before they were called Vybe Hair Design, one main point being their unprofessional behaviour. I also felt this when having my hair done, the eye rolling and the little comments that were made around the team made me feel uncomfortable.It’s very clear they shouldn’t be running a business if this is their attitude towards complaints and business in general. I’ve had opinions from other salons saying the result was awful.Edit: in response to the below comment, as stated before, no threatening took place, it's a shame you have to twist words. Small claims court was an option because you refused to refund or even respond. It was an option, not a threat. You chose to ignore us for over a month, which led us to seek other options.

I went to Vybe in Brighton today and had a full head of highlights, cut and blow dried by David. He has done a fantastic job and I am so pleased with the end result. I have really thin/fine hair that is really difficult to style, David listened to what I wanted and took his time to get the end result I wanted. It looks fantastic. I would definitely recommend going here.P.S. Terry makes a lovely cup of coffee. Xx

I was really nervous about having my hair done, hadn’t had a cut in years and had a box dye that just wouldn’t fade. My hair was so unhealthy. David is so friendly and open and honest that I won’t go anywhere else now. Terry was lovely too. Got me into the land of blonde from a red box dye. With fresh healthy hair! Thankyou so so much!

I needed a haircut and looked at multiple different salons since I am not a local to Brighton. I saw the reviews and decided to try Vybe. It did not disappoint!!The staff are so lovely and friendly!! It was such an inviting atmosphere and I felt so comfortable so quickly.David recommended products to me to help with my hair which I am now definitely going to try and Shakira was also amazing.I would highly recommend this place so highly!!I feel amazing and the care and time that was put into my hair today I have never seen anywhere else.I will definitely be going back!!
