Went to a private wine tasting for a birthday party and Ruth was really knowledge and I learned so much! Delicious wines too. 10/10 would recommend!

Brilliant experience with Ruth from the Clifton Wine School last weekend. I bought the steak and wine evening as a gift for my husband and it exceeded both our expectations! Ruth was so enthusiastic and welcoming, made us relaxed immediately. The food was very nice but the wines she chose and the guidance about tasting made the event really special. 10/10 would recommend!

Ruth really knows her wines! She also pulled together a really interesting session which she presented in an engaging and personable way, she's great at what she does and a lovely person too. I learnt a lot! Would 100% recommend Clifton Wine School.

Ruth came and did a wine tasting for my birthday at my house; it was brilliant! She was knowledgeable and kept it really interesting all the way through and I learnt loads of interesting things. Plus the wine she brought along was delicious resulting in a really fun evening we will be back to do this again.

I really enjoyed Ruth’s recent online seminars on gin and rose wine. She is very well informed about the origins and quality of her wines and spirits in addition to being a charming and entertaining host. Well worth the time invested.

I have just started an 8 week World of Wine course with Clifton Wine School and I thoroughly enjoyed our first evening. Ruth's delivery is relaxed and informal and she has great knowledge. She opened our eyes and taste buds to lots of different wines and gave us plenty of really interesting background information about each one. Very much looking forward to the rest of the course!

I attended a online WSET level 2 wine course which was hosted by Ruth in the evenings.WSET is a great course if you (like me) want to learn more about Wine and better understand why you like certain wines.Ruth is a fantastic trainer who explains things clearly, without using stuffy or confusing terms. You get to try some great wines you might not otherwise have bought.She’s great fun and I’d highly recommend her to host any wine tasting course whether it’s an introduction to wine tasting or a professional qualification from WSET.High recommended!

My partner and I attended Clifton Wine School's vegan food and wine tasting evening at Bristol's Hotel du Vin. It was an absolutely brilliant night. Ruth is so knowledgeable and friendly, she immediately puts the group at ease. I learnt loads about wine whilst having a lovely time, which is exactly what you want! The food was great and the wine's complemented it wonderfully. I would strongly recommend Clifton Wine school events and am booked to go on another event in the New Year.

A wonderful event with Ruth sampling the Spanish and Portuguese wines/ports. Ruth was very knowledgable and entertaining as we sipped our way through the evening learning about the wines, the regions and vineyards/businesses that produce them.Highly recommend!
