Charles Clifford Dental Hospital

I visited Charles Clifford last month from the initial receptionist who took my call the the gentleman behind the main reception who booked me in the student nurses, to the 4th year surgeon who extracted the 2 teeth that had been giving me so much pain plus the 3rd tooth that they suggested be removed on the other side of my mouth that had previously broken away that had stopped giving me problems but through great knowledge knew it was causing infection throughout my mouth and extracted it for my health. The hole team was so close and the almost family atmosphere was so very obvious, enter the main sergeon in charge of the whole department who oversaw the training of the students, it was clear to see the reason for such a happy and friendly department, he knew everything there wasn’t to know rather than have an arrogant god complex he was the most humble kind friendly man you could wish to meet, he treated hi so staff and patients. With the upmost respect and manner, when he gave guidance to his staff he did it with humility and respect And praised what they was doing in a positive way. I commented to the nurse and a surgeon that I bet he is a brilliant teacher to which they replied the best that they have ever met and where very clearly in ore of him, as was every single member of the whole department, they commented they were dreading And leaving when they qualify from university, that is the greatest honour you can receive from your students, one deserved by Sichuan an amazing teacher. I left my hat when I went and the wonderful staff even sent it me in the post. What’s a wonderful credit to the NHS

Visited yesterday with a friend. Got a phobia around dentist, which my friend is aware of. Sat in the waiting room on the first floor while my friend was in seeing the dentist. One of the nurses came out and said for me to go into my friend. When I said I couldn't she went back into my friend and said to her that I wasn't being very helpful. My friend said it wasn't her idea for them to come and get me in the first placeMy friend gets anxious while in the dentistIf I find out what they call that nurse I will take the matter further.I have only given one star as it won't let me post without 1

Whilst the staff are nice the treatment can be up to 2 hours for a simple examination, including all kinds of probing, photography and things that make your mouth sore/ache. Not suitable if you are disabled or have chronic illness due to strict non attendance policy ( they will literally leave you with work half finished). Very annoyed that I was discharged as had to cancel a couple of appointments due to various chronic conditions. On my last appointment I tested positive for COVID, despite there being a very clear text message to NOT ATTEND even if you have symptoms. Still have half finished work and a filling THEY did that has a fissure!!!

If I could I would give it more stars. The pre-appointment was brilliant, swiftly seen, informative, lovely and funny dentist.Then the having my tooth out appointment was brilliant too. How they manage to make it such a good experience, having a wisdom tooth out, is cause they are so personable and informative and soothing and competent! And they make you laugh and then they did the injections so efficiently and the tooth pulling in less than 5 seconds. Maybe it wasn't such a complicated tooth but it looked it to me! At the back and decaying! All done! Hardly any pain afterwards and healed in a day:) So Thank you very much Abs El_Awa, Adele Dickinson and Jordan Hanley. Brill people:)

First time visiting due to a root canal tooth which has cracked. Had two X-rays, because the first was missing a few cm/s, the strip was digging in to my frenulum so I was trying to move it and the student mri nurse grabbed my lips to close my mouth on the second scan (not happy I moved my head).Had the tooth extraction two weeks later this time the student nurse I had was lovely and had given me two injections to numb the left side but as I could still feel it the main clinic dentist (Badge said Tim) came in with a third injection, without waiting for time to kick in, changed tools cracked the tooth (despite me saying I was in pain and could feel that putting pressure on my bottom front teeth - which are still in pain) brushed it of, said it was just the sound of the cracking (it was not and I said it was not) and carried on pulling. Once he was done he put the cloth in my mouth, said to bite down, which I was doing he waited 2 seconds and grabbed my chin to close my mouth. (I have had an extraction before and usually always loved going to the dentist before going to this place)

Went here with my son in school 6weeks holidays got told he’s got to have his tooth took out asap and that he will be on top off the list to get it removed and sent us home.. said I needed to wait for a letter or phone call and haven’t received anything so I’ve phone multiple times because the tooth is hurting and my son is struggling to eat and they was no answer everytime I phone again today and they said they can’t do anything about it.. and now he has a massive lumb on his gum where the tooth is

Just had nearly three months of treatment at this teaching hospital can't thank them enough had 3 teeth removed extensive restoration on rest of teeth and two pallets made so happy. Had a lovely young lady Daisy who took me on has her patient all I can say is she will be an excellent dentist. thanks to all the Dentists and staff who I came in contact with all very helpful and kind again a big thankyou to you all.
