I have been conducting exercise classes for Broadway Halls since February 2012 as part of James Bickley Running. I have always been welcomed as part of the family upon entry and made so many friends throughout the years. I have built a good rapport with each resident and the staff have always been helpful and polite to myself and very caring with the residents. The care home is immaculately presented and the residents always appear happy.

The decor of the home is excellent. Its a shame the level of care is not up to scratch. No record of fluid intake or food which i thought was a standard requirement of care. My nans room is very rarely kept clean. When asking any staff any questions about my nan we are told ive only just started my shift". It is the go to response even when we are asking what she as had to eat or drink or if shes had medication.Staff spend to much time chatting amongst themselves and not enough time caring for the residents. We have even witnessed residents having their incontinence pants changed in the communal hall way .where is the respect and dignity in that.In my humble opinion the staff are either not trained properly in dementia care or just dont care. From the cleaners to the laundry and the care team their level of professionalism and duty of care is inadequate."

Pleasantly surprised by this beautiful home. Friendly, hardworking staff to make sure every resident is involved and happy including help on ALL departments! Housekeeping, activities, carers, nurses even the deputy manager being involved with all aspects of the summer fete! Well done team Broadway

Ive been the hair dresser of broadway halls now for the last 2 years +. When I get the pleasure of doing the residents hairs I enjoy getting to know their life story’s and experiences. The staff are always willing to help me when I ask and they are all so caring to the residents too which is lovely to see.My weekly visit always bring a smile on their faces. The home itself is beautiful it has a lovely hotel feel about it. You get a lovely warm welcome by the reception staff when you first come in!Every week they have lots of entertainment on to keep each day exciting for everyone that’s saying. My office is on the ground floor salon so if you’re around pop in and say hello!!

We visited Broadway Halls on Saturday 20th August for the open day and summer fete, we weren't intending to stay long as we had our dog with us, but we ended up staying most of the day 4-5 hours, there was so much to do with the stalls and competitions going on. The entertainment team were amazing keeping the residents and visitors entertained all day with their Magic show, live singers, karaoke, party dances and games, there were some old songs played I hadn't heard since I was a child it brought back so many good Memories. We were offered drinks throughout the day and to our surprise we were brought lunch over it was so kind of them. The Lamb was so tender it melted in my mouth it was such a lovely meal. The home was full of life, it was clean the entertainment team are brilliant and the meals were lovely, I could see the residents were well looked after and the staff was always happy to help, nothing was any trouble. can't wait for the next community event.

We attended the free Easter egg hunt that had been organised in the park close by. Our children absolutely loved hunting for the pebbles that had been painted and were so excited when they found them. Afterwards we visited the care home to receive a prize and the staff were so welcoming. They went above and beyond to interact with the children and have them a very chocolatey prize.

I was invited to Broadway Halls to attend their Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Wow. This place is absolutely amazing. The home itself is immaculately presented with both the building and grounds being excellently maintained. On arrival I was greeted by a lovely polite receptionist and offered refreshments on entry and once inside I found all of the staff equally approachable and welcoming and there was always someone on hand if needed. The activities team had organised a great day and even though the weather was against them to start with they had planned for all eventualities. There was entertainment in the garden, we all had a sing along and later a buffet in a dining room. All ages were catered to, even the young children and it was a delight to see so many residents and their families enjoying the experience. My only regret is that my Nanna didn’t get the level of attention and stimulation when she was in a care home (non Barchester) many years ago. She would have thrived on the love and energy the staff give out at Broadway Halls.

I have visited a number of times in the last 4/5 years except during lockdown to sing. This was my first ever care home gig when I first started out.Is a lovely home and my last one lay month was in the gardens. The residents enjoy the music and where possible have a dance. The staff are lovely.I always enjoy being here x

I can't commend or thank the staff enough. I made an enquiry about a relative as an emergency respite/ possibly permanent resident. From the first panic call ( made on a Sunday afternoon) the staff were absolutely fantastic. The kindness, gentleness and sensitivity shown to my family, the relative concerned and to me was incredible. They gave all information clearly and fully, answered the many questions efficiently and kindly providing relief and joy at an extremely stressful and difficult time, giving us hope in a seemingly hopeless situation. An assessment was done quickly with a decision made the same day. Throughout the process, I was informed of the procedure and next stage and received phone calls when promised. I cannot thank them enough. Their professionalism and warmth is exemplary.
