Simple Assembly

Once again Simple Assembly helped me with the assembly of my new furniture. I sublet a few flats in the London and often need professional service like this one. I have used this company a few times and each time they have been very helpful and professional. I do not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asks me about furniture delivery and assembly.

***UPDATED 22/02/18***Flat Pack Mates have been in touch since the review to remedy the situation. I have now been refunded the overcharge, and a very helpful and polite handyman came and fixed the damage to the ceiling. The walls are a complicated fix due to the paint colour, so I asked them to leave as is. I can't fault my second experience at all.3 stars is the average of both experiences, which I hope is fair.***Original review***Used this service to get furniture picked up from ikea, delivered and assembled. 'Estimate' was completely inaccurate, I was charged more than twice the quoted amount even though I specifically requested that they only assemble what they can in the quoted time. They arrived 5 hours after the agreed appointment (booked for 14:00, took afternoon off work, they arrived at 19:00), during which time they refused to answer all calls and didn't respond to emails. They damaged the wall and ceiling when assembling the furniture. I have called and emailed several times since to get a refund for the overcharge and compensation for the damage with no luck. Their speedy customer service stops the minute they have your bank details. My case has supposedly been referred to the complaints team, but 2 months later, I am still overcharged and my wall and ceiling are still damaged. Awful service, I really really recommend finding an alternative!

Great job at assembling the kitchen cabinets! There is no chance in the world I would have managed by myself. My wife wanted me to do it alone but we ended up agreeing on getting help. Everything looks fantastic! Thanks for the careful approach and the friendly service. We’ll think of you the next time we need help with furniture assembly.

Just had an assembly for all living room furniture and the new bed and wished to say a huge Thank you to the Simple Aseembly specialists. Very delicate, very quick and polite. Every piece looks great! They delivered what was promised and I’d definitely use their assembly services in the future.

I never thought something as simple as a shoe cabinet could cause me so much trouble. I like things to happen easily and on time so that is why I called this company. A handy guy came home to help me with the assembling and he did a fantastic job. I felt a little silly for not being able to put the pieces together with such a professionalism but well, that is why these guys are for.

We planned a big redecoration in the house that included the complete refurbishment of the living room. Everything was going well until we realised that we didn’t have the right vehicle to get all of the new furniture. We called at the last minute and booked a next day delivery. We entrusted Simple Assemnly with kitting out our entire flat. They arranged everything from the furniture collection to the last screw of the assembly. Needless to say time was of the essence. The final result of their hard work exceeded all our expectations. You could tell from afar that they're experts at their craft. My husband is not easy to impress but this time he too was pleasantly surprised by the level of the service we received.
