We were getting married on 7th of November this year and Lorna was doing the flowers, we had to bring the wedding forward due to Lockdown. I phoned Lorna on the Monday and told her we were now getting married on the Next day. FLOWERS FOR A FUNERALLorna at Pebbles Beach Floristry on Portland listened gently with patience, kindness, and compassion, as I described, through my tears, the plants that my husband had liked, and his favourite colours and those that represented him.It was evident from the beautiful floral displays that Lorna subsequently created that I’d been listened to carefully, and everything I’d said and requested had been taken on board.We were delighted with Lorna’s interpretation of our requests, and her creativity and artistry: Lorna had crafted a floral tribute of letters, plus a beautiful spray, using flowers, grasses, foliage, ribbon, and the flag of Portland I’d asked to be included, to create textured designs, patterns, and forms that reflected my husband’s tastes, favourite colours, and personality. The floral displays formed a kind of language without words that spoke of my husband’s appreciation of architectural plants, bright colours, and his love of Portland, whilst also expressing the sentiment of loss and grief that our family have been feeling since the day he left us.We would definitely recommend Pebbles Beach Floristry, and enjoy visiting the shop just to look at the unique displays that Lorna has created.Thank you, Lorna.

Lorna made the whole process of sorting my wedding flowers perfect. I had a very limited budget and she worked patiently with me to get as close to what I wanted as possible given the constraints of seasonality and budget, and completely surpassed my expectations. She made a range of absolutely beautiful pieces for my wedding day from a fabulous long and low, to teardrop shaped adornments for the pagoda pillars. She is a genuine and caring person, who you can tell puts a lot of love into what she does. Thank you for making my wedding flowers so special, and all your help xxx

We,ve been using this florist since we got married 10 years ago and they did the flowers for our wedding. I have continued to use them for all of our anniversaries, valentines day etc since then. The reason i write this review is they just supplied the flowers for my grans funeral and they were beautiful.... they did us a lovely wooden cross with white roses that was put on top of my grans wicker casket. The owner is very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. So if you live on portland and want a quality florist look no further!
