CANNOCK CHASE GERMAN MILITARY CEMETERY
This is behind the commonwealth war graves. Both have car parking for FREE. Surprised at how beautiful German one is once you get inside...you have to go through a brick building which is locked at night of course... there's even toilets Inside!! There is a registry to check as well.

Very well maintained place of rest for our once enemy now foe German, who was recovering in the military hospital. Only to become perish from their wounds. The end of the day these were just fighting like everyone else and are human beings.Ruhe in Frieden

CANNOCK CHASE GERMAN MILITARY CEMETERY
A peaceful and beautiful site, very well cared for, and free to enter. The building is currently closed for repairs, so you cannot see the site plan or any information. It's worth learning something about the site and the various German ranks before you go, so that you understand a little more.

CANNOCK CHASE GERMAN MILITARY CEMETERY
I lasted visited this cemetery over 50 years ago and had forgotten how tranquil it is.Also it is maintained very well. I found it very moving to see row upon row of graves containing German soldiers who died during the two world wars.The surrounding area of Cannock Chase helps in so many ways to add to the tranquility and peacefulness of this cemetery. May they all rest in peace

CANNOCK CHASE GERMAN MILITARY CEMETERY
Well kept war memorial and cemetery. World war 1 and 2 casualties are buried here from borh allied and axis sides. Very poignant. A smaller cemetery by the car park and another larger cemetery a short walk down the path/ road are accessible. The car park is quite rough by the entrance so disabled users are better to drive to the main cemetery. There are some toilets, well kept, available. The opening hours are shorter during the winter months and the main cemetery is closed along with the amenities. Well worth a visit for quiet contemplation.

The general area around the cemetery is very pleasant, a nice place to have a walk or other type of exercise. Probably would get boring quite quickly. The cemetery itself looks well kept and tidy.

An extraordinary, sad and very moving place. Visit to ponder the futility of war. The fallen of Germany were gathered here from across the UK in the 1960s, so many of these chaps were originally buried in village cemeteries. The fallen include Zeppelin crews from WW1

The only German Military Cemetery in the country is a wonderfully sympathetic and subtle memorial to those who lost their lives in air combat in two world wars.Prepare to have your breath taken away by the understated tone, which makes it all the more impressive.Not to be missed.

We went, because my great uncle was buried here. The cementry is well maintained and we actually found his grave, since the graves are all marked. (Appart from a few unknown soldiers)

CANNOCK CHASE GERMAN MILITARY CEMETERY
Reminds me that we make mistakes as a race and there is a human cost to war. A large cemetery which is free to enter and a well kept dignified final resting place.
