Derby Station Hotel
This is a great hotel that combines Victorian Midland Railway grandeur with contemporary comforts. The bathroom was really nicely done out and the bed was really comfortable.The breakfast was very well done with well cooked meats, and cereals also available.The only slight room for improvement, would be when preparing the room, consider not leaving the radiator on full blast, as it's really hot when you enter (and wastes energy costing money).

Great value. Next to the station so a good walk from city centre. Comfortable room with everything you need but it's no frills. Next to a busy road buy windows are pretty good at noise reduction. £8 to park the car which is a bit steep but even when you add that to the £36 we paid for the room it's still good value. We didn't try breakfast.

Derby Station Hotel
We went as a group of 10 of us for afternoon tea. We had quite a mix of dietary requirements, including vegan, and were pleasantly surprised just how very capable and accommodating they were to our needs. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. A really lovely afternoon. THANK YOU! :)

Attended a business conference here and found the facilities to be really good. Beautiful building with historical features maintained. Staff friendly and efficient at refilling coffee, tea & snacks. Lunch was hearty with a veggie option available. Be aware that parking is tight in front of the hotel. However, you can also park at the sister hotel Hallmark Inn.

Derby Station Hotel
Just had a lovely break at this hotel very good value package staff all very friendly and helpful and the place was clean. We were late for afternoon tea and they even did a very nice tray of tea and goodies for our room. Breakfast was good and dinner was even better. The only down side was the position of our room which backed on to the service area and we were disturbed all night by fans and extraction units from the kitchen. We will stay again if in the area but make sure we ask for a quieter room.

Derby Station Hotel
My wife and I stayed there, thankfully for only one night. The room was clean and well equipped, nice bathroom. Our major issue was the bed. The mattress was far too firm. It was probably the most uncomfortable bed we have ever tried to sleep in.Our breakfast however was splendid. No complaints about the staff, they were friendly and helpful. Please get some new mattresses.

Went for afternoon tea. Not the best I have had. Cakes were a little thin. Scones were lovely with plenty of jam and cream. Sandwiches were fresh but dull. No choice of tea offered. No table linen or China cups here. Staff were helpful. Hotel was clean, a lovely outdoor seating area out the back.

Derby Station Hotel
This is my favourite hotel. It's very classic and the staff are friendly. It can be a bit on the dear side but if you can get good deal, I would highly recommend it. There is free parking and a kitchen, bar and restaurant. The beds are comfy. The pillows are a bit in the thin side for me but they happily provide you with extra pillows and fresh towel.

The wedding in a box seems like great value. I personally have not had the wedding in a box but have been lucky to have been invited to 2 different weddings a year apart. The staff seemed very helpful, food was superb. Was a slight delay on one of the meals and extra free wine was provided. They went out the way to ensure the brides and groom special day was just that
