For almost year, I was aided in a complex matter by Inderjit of Newtons in Darlington. I would like to take the opportunity to say thank you to Sophie and to Inderjit, from whom I learned much, and about whom I have naught but good things to say. Oh, and should you happen to read this Inderjit, I hope you note the review compares favourably to many of my other communications in its conciseness - and in lacking the need for much patient correction.

Due to bereavement, I needed to write/update what was our joint will.I had briefly dealt with Bill Neville in the past with regard to my wife’s bereavement, and I had expected to see Bill for my appointment, however, Rebecca Haswell came to my assistance, and I would just like to say how impressed with the service I received from Rebecca. I found Rebecca to be very friendly with a professional manner.I had the most impressive experience with Rebecca in regard to my legal requirements, which were totally trouble free and if she had not mentioned it herself, I would have never imagined that Rebecca was a trainee and not a very young looking, Senior Solicitor.Her knowledge of the information and finalisation of my requirements was excellent.In my opinion a company asset, to which I would recommend to anyone in need of a similar service.

Newtons helped us purchase our dream home just before the stamp duty break ended in 2021. Even though it was going to be tight meeting the deadline and despite the immense pressure solicitors were under at the time, Emma and Rachael were outstanding and actually completed everything with a couple of weeks to spare. We were kept updated at all times and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

Excellent service received from Bill Neville in respect of drafting wills for my husband and myself . Everything was explained clearly , we were able to talk through all the issues and changes were made when requested .

We were recommended Newtons solicitors by Anthony Jones Properties when selling our house and they didn’t disappoint. We couldn’t fault the service and professionalism by Emma and the team who were fantastic and provided prompt replies and updates. Highly recommend.

Poor customer service and needs prompting for obtaining replies to emails. We did not feel adequately advised upon next steps for failure of house sale going through. Furthermore, attempts to complaint was not heard properly or empathetically with poor escalation to relevant personnel. If you enroll their services, kindly note you may have to chase a lot of things yourself (not ideal for busy professionals). The experience was also unnecessarily stressful and frustrating.

Absolutely amazing service from Emma, especially given how quick our sale moved but how difficult it was to communicate with the parties we were buying from. We felt fully informed the whole way through and know that Emma was pivotal in making sure we had a home to move to in time.I can easily see why our estate agents recommended this branch in particular.

Sophie was absolutely amazing from the beginning to the end couldn’t recommend them enough not like your normal firms friendly efficient and straight to the point more like a family firm than anything thanks

I have given this firm a call a couple of times now, and I've found them to be accommodating, friendly, and thorough. I'm a complainer, but I have no complaints. I would recommend.
