Idlewells Shopping Centre Car Park

OK.80p for upto 2 hours then 1 minute after its £2.50 !!!!.If you have to cross the bridge in the wet ,its very slippery!!!!

Been multiple times here, never received a car parking ticket in 7 years of driving until this place and 2 out of 3 times I’ve been given a ticket in the space of 3 months. Multiple companies named online as managing the car park. They swapped companies on November 7th. You could previously pay after your visit, couldnt see any clear signage that this had happened on the way into the car park, unless it was extremely small, they did however change it online. Given it was only a month since my last visit, I assumed I could still pay afterwards and I go out the pedestrian exit so you don’t actually encounter a machine in this location. I went online to pay and found theyre now using your parking space I contacted your parking space asked to pay and they said essentially they won’t accept my payment and I’m going to get a ticket because it was a past visit. And given the number of companies that are labelled online unless you’re going to check who is currently managing it on every single visit regardless of how often you go, you’re likely to get a ticket. I also contacted site management to confirm who is currently managing the parking. finally, if you want parking advice in regards to the shopping centre I would *strongly* advise you park outside the front of it on the street and get a ticket from the council because £15 ticket to the council will be cheaper than the £60-£120 ticket you’re going to repeatedly get by parking in here-that’s what I’ll be doing from now on anyway.

Just a typical car park charging on Sundays tho. But motorbikes are free parking.

New car parking ANPR system is a nightmare if you ever want a receipt. Paid by card on the machine, and only option it gives is a mobile number to send an SMS - which doesn't actually even work. Contactless not working either on a machine thats only 3 months old. Bring back the barriers and working machines if this is the best you can manage, or use a system that works like Ringgo or paybyphone.

Closing times on a Sunday aren’t displayed and your car gets locked in with no security to assist at all. Security is not even on sight till morning! I hope there’s never a fire in there, there’s no one to allow the fire brigade in!

A carpark that isn't able to provide a receipt for payment is a no no for me. Says it will send you a text but doesn't happen.

Quite a dark car park. And now with number plate recognition. So make sure you know your number plate when you come to pay.
