Therapy with Jane was life-changing , she was non-judgemental, empathic and compassionate at all times. She provided a safe space to be open and honest and helped me to understand myself a bit better. Jane helped me to be kinder to myself and gain the confidence to do things I had avoided doing up until now. I would definitely recommend to all!

I was referred to Jane for a number of Mental Health issues and had an extended period of time in therapy with her. I always found Jane courteous, understanding and non judgemental. She sought to help me in every manner that she could, even post therapy assisting me with a report for my employer and my GP. To say the work I did with Jane was life changing is an understatement. Her therapy led me to other therapies and also down a whole new life path. It was incredibly hard work for myself to keep going, and Jane pushed me in ways I would not have pushed myself. To be able to understand myself enables me to feel so much better about everything. I still use many techniques Jane taught me daily and I will continue to do so forever no doubt. I still have blips, we all do, but thanks to Jane I can finally get on with my life.

Contrary to what this person thinks, it is not illegal to have an opinion or to post a review on the internet, so here is it is. I met O'Neill for the first time for an assessment on the 16th of June 2010, with my social worker Yvonne DuBerry and my father also present. I had waited at least six months for the appointment. I was amazed to see Yvonne, because she hadn't bothered to see me that year until then. O'Neill said that I was a high priority client, but when I returned on the 26th of July 2010, she said that I was to be referred to a family therapy counsellor instead. To add insult to injury, I have since been told that O'Neill didn't even bother to refer me to the family therapy department until the 20th of November 2010. When I finally got to see someone, I spent an hour talking to them about intimate details of my life, only to find that I had to start all over again with a new therapist on the next visit. I also discovered that this 'help' was only being offered once a month, which was very insulting, as I needed much more support due to the fact that I had taken an overdose and had self-harmed in the past due to severe depression. The following year, on the 14th of February 2011, Sandwell CMHT terminated their involvement in my care. I wrote to Jane O'Neill to complain about what had happened, but she didn't even have the decency to reply to my letter. I am appalled, disgusted, and extremely angry with the totally disrespectful way in which I was treated by Jane O'Neill and other members of staff.

Jane was a caring councillor. She took time to listen & remember the things that we discussed. She always remembered the names of people that I mentioned, and would refer to them by their names rather than just 'your X'. She made my concerns seem valid and gave the impression that she really cared about them and how they were affecting me. She was always organised with appointments, and sent reminder emails to ensure it all ran smoothly. She followed up with more info/resources when she said she was going to, which I really appreciate. Thanks Jane.

I’ve been seeing Jane for a little over a year and I can’t explain how much her sessions have helped me. I’ve had depression, anxiety and an eating disorder and the therapy and tools she has worked with me through have taken me from a place I never thought I’d get out of. I can’t thank her enough and highly recommend

Jane worked with me for several years and helped me to come to terms with very challenging family circumstances having a massive impact on my personal and working life, the former involving a family member who was abusing substances. My self-esteem was at an all time low when I met her but working through many issues with talking therapies and tools to get me through various situations, coupled with mindfulness sessions, I am happy to say that I have found myself in a better place and very much looking forward to the future. This includes a change of employment - something I feel I would not been achievable without the lessons I have learned. I am really grateful for the work that she has done with me and would not hesitate to recommend Jane to anyone have similar issues .
