The Recovery Lodge
I was here the beginning of last year. This place gave me a good base for my recovery and knowledge of what recovery was. And the pause in life that I needed. The staff are very caring I was an anxious mess and very lost when I turned up i had no idea what was going on but I left feeling a bit more like my old self. Obviously these things take time. The therapy was amazing. It’s all very confusing at the beginning when you have no idea what recovery is but after a while it all makes sense. I relapsed when I came out due to my own doubts of whether I could drink again or not and dealing with a bereavement. But I’m now a year and a month sober. And I doubt that I would of been here without the help of the lodge. I also met some amazing people that I’m still friends with now.

I will always be grateful for what the staff in the recovery lodge have done for me and my family, I arrived in a desperate state feeling I had lost myself to my addiction, but after spending 28 days here giving everything I had into the program I left with the knowledge and understanding of what my illness had done to me and how to live in recovery. What the staff and owners do here is incredible, the structure and implementation of the Therapy sessions are what made the difference to the outcome of my recovery, I hope this message reaches someone who is in the place I was and helps takes the brave step to change their life as it has done for me.

Where to start, This family run Rehabilitation lodge in itself is a true example of what recovery is all about. All the staff have had the own experiences in recovery making the them understanding and approachable. I have been suffering with addiction for many years. Going into a rehab was a very big step and decision for me so through research and lots of reffals. I made the choice to check into the Lodge . I have since been realeased and wanted to share my experience., the atmosphere that they have created and the through therapy , group therapy, family therapy all complimenting each other this gave me the assurance in a solid foundation for my long road to recovery. Just for today I feel rehabilitated and I'm ready for what the day has to offer. Thank you all so much I'll forever rembermy time at the Lodge

I came to The Recovery Lodge at the lowest point in my life. I was addicted to alcohol, and I had lost everything: my job, my home, my relationships. I was hopeless and didn't know where to turn. But The Recovery Lodge gave me hope. The staff are incredibly supportive and understanding truly going above and beyond. They helped me to understand my addiction and how to overcome it. They also taught me the skills I need to stay sober in the long term.I am now 11 months sober, and I can honestly say that Recovery Lodge saved my life. I am so grateful for the care and support that I received there. It is impossible to truly show my gratitude. Here are some specific ways that Recovery Lodge changed my life:They taught about the science of addiction and what I can do to positively change my life long term. They helped me to develop coping mechanisms and tools for dealing with the manageability of day to day LifeI learned how to build a sober support network.I gained the confidence to believe in myself and my ability to stay sober.I am now living a healthy and fulfilling life. I am back to work, I have rebuilt my relationships, and I am doing things that I never thought possible. My life has been renewed I am so grateful to Recovery Lodge for giving me the chance to turn my life around. Not only did they help me, they were supportive and helpful to my family and loved ones.If you are struggling with addiction, I urge you to reach out to Recovery Lodge. They can help you to change your life too. Here are some additional things that I would like to say about Recovery Lodge:The facilities were clean and comfortable. The food was healthy and delicious. The activities were varied and engaging. The staff were friendly and compassionate.I would highly recommend Recovery Lodge to anyone who is struggling with addiction. It is a place where you can get the help you need to turn your life around.

My partner came to the recovery lodge 2 years ago. The team there are amazing and literally saved his life. I can’t thank them enough and would recommend them to anyone needing help from addiction. They were always helpful and very supportive whilst he was in the recovery lodge and after he left. The aftercare is also amazing and the reason my partner has managed to stay in recovery. If your thinking of going or have a family member who may need it I promise it will be the best decision you could make!

THE RECOVERY LODGE IS A LIFE CHANGER & SAVER. My wife booked me into the lodge for 4 weeks, after decades of battling addiction to alcohol. From the moment I arrived it felt like I had finally found a place that could help and understand me.All of the staff & therapists are second to none and and the daily programme offered gives you a deep insight into the condition and underpins that you are not alone on your journey. You leave the Lodge not only with a strong support network but also with the right tools that if used correctly on a daily basis should help avoid future relapses and provide you with a happy, prosperous, content and sober life just by sticking with the programme. If like me you have found yourself spiralling out of control due to your addiction and you are committed to make a change for the better, then chances are the Lodge is for you.

Firstly, I thought I had left a message/rating when I left the lodge 6 years but turns out I hadn't.Secondly, after reading through the reviews, I am gob smacked that some people left 1 star rating. They obviously wasn't ready to stop their drinking/druguse and didn't open up to the whole recovery phase.Thirdly and lastly to my review. I can honestly say that the lodge saved my life. Without the help of everyone who worked there I probably wouldn't be around today or if I was I wouldn't have my wife and oldest boy in my life. Everyone who works there are so kind and caring and the lodge has such a lovely energy. I want to say thankyou to everyone who helped me get to where I am today, which is the happiest and most grateful place I have ever been. Special thank you to Jamie, Donna, Dennis and Jules.

I went to the Recovery Lodge in 2017 after decades of struggling with mental health and addiction issues. The care I received there was second to none and the environment was very friendly and welcoming. I was taught about how addiction worked and was given very comprehensive counselling to help with trauma I had encountered earlier in my life. Little did I know the trauma was the cause of the addiction. After 20 years of struggling with my problems the last 5 and half years have been by far the happiest of my life and I now live a content, clean and sober life. I have the recovery lodge and the counsellors there to thank for this and I'm still in regular contact with all at the Lodge. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

The Recovery Lodge
The recovery lodge saved my life. I entered the lodge a broken man, I couldn’t stop drinking and I was also addicted to prescription medication which I had no clue about, I found out later that’s why I kept relapsing on alcohol, then my life began to change. The staff were absolutely fantastic, they were compassionate and helpful, they liaised with my family whilst I was detoxing and made my stay as comfortable as possible. The therapeutic program helped me no end and is also based around the 12 step recovery program of which I did steps 1,2,3. All of us(the clients) had to attend fellowship meeting’s which was great because that’s what I do now to stay well. The facilities are lovely and the food was great. I really don’t have a bad word to say about the lodge as I have a life again, my family are very, very happy. Once again, thank you so much for helping me sort my life out and get on the journey of recovery.
