Hawthorns Urban Wildlife Centre
Lovely centre to rest your legs whilst on the Common. Great little cafe with Italian coffee. Outside area by the pond. Good range of meals and cakes. Cosy and clean. Good place to meet friends for a coffee. Do a great Christmas lunch in December.

Lovely little wildlife centre but even better is that the revamped cafe is just brilliant! Fantastic selection of food at very reasonable prices, whether you want lunch or just a hot drink on a chilly day it is a great place to come. Lovely friendly staff too. Be sure to look at the beautiful wrought iron gates on the way in!

Checked and checked for opening times and no mention of the actual wildlife centre being closed and only open on sundays the cafe is open everyday but not the wildlife centre. I'm very annoyed at this as i took my 70 yr old friend who has dementia and parkinsons disease, 2 buses across town in nearly 30 degrees for what? Please update you website.Lunch was ok friendly staff. ..

Lovely place for a coffee stop plus anything up to a 3 course meal! A short walk around the site (even at this time of year) there was enough to see. Well worth s visit after the lovely new park on the common. Just remember to have cash as no cards accepted!

Nice clean, friendly cafe. Obviously popular as busy but could still find a table. The food was lovely and freshly made and a very good price for the portion size.
