I recently purchased this early 20c Spanish lamp from Taylor Direct. Being a huge fan of antique items with a history, it was perfect as an ornamental feature for my living room. I drove to Toby's warehouse to collect it yesterday and was impressed by his collection and also by his obvious passion for antiques and excellent customer service. I love independent retailers, there's something so raw and authentic about the engagement one experiences when dealing with a family business. I'll definitely be back to peruse through more wonderful lovingly-restored items. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Thank you, Toby!

I am delighted with a beautiful Windsor Arm Chair that I have just bought from Toby. I have wanted one since 1976 when the 12th Cambridge Folk Festival poster had drawing of a man playing a fiddle seated one and a friend had one in his very cosy kitchen.Toby was not only very friendly but also professional, knowledgeable and helpful as well as being very understanding and sensitive to the specific characteristics that I was looking for. Where do I begin…My family and I have been looking for months for a conversation sparking table for our dining space.When we stumbled on Taylor’s direct we knew we would find something we loved. We got in touch and spoke to Toby, he suggested a bespoke handcrafted oak table would be perfect for our space.We were updated regularly throughout the process and the piece was delivered to our home by a lovely pair of gentlemen who were more than happy to help us get the piece into position.We could not be happier. We bought a beautifully restored Edwardian envelope table just before Christmas and the customer service was second to none. Toby was very quick to respond to my initial queries about measurements and then reserved the item while I checked, and was able to arrange next day delivery, also letting me know once it was in transit. Delivery guy also great and the table itself is absolutely gorgeous. Highly recommend!

I couldn't be happier with this two-tiered dumbwaiter table I purchased for my London shop from Toby of Taylors Direct. The piece was delivered safely with this almost white glove delivery service. The table is in immaculate condition with just the right character making it a fine and authentic piece of English period furniture. Toby was extremely knowledgeable, responsive and eager to deliver not just the best , highest quality,beautifully and faithfully restored genuine antique pieces in the UK but also the highest level of customer service. 7 Star product and service!
