Best Behaviour Dog Training

We started the puppy and dog training with Finley when he was just over 10 months and it’s really helping us navigate his adolescence! He really enjoys the classes and his focus is really coming along, especially around distractions (e.g. other dogs). I can see how some of the activities are starting to influence his behaviour at home, which shows they really are teaching him lifelong behaviours. It’s also helping me gain confidence with his training and I’m really enjoying learning new things and being able to teach him. We’re now also doing the fun gun dog course, which we’re both really enjoying!Jen is a fantastic trainer and offers great advice on how to adapt/progress activities for your dog depending on how well they’re doing with them. You can tell she is passionate about dogs and really understands their behaviour as there have been a few times where she’s noticed that Finley has been a bit nervous/on edge when other dogs have excitably said hello and helped by asking the owners to call their dogs away to give him some space.I would recommend Best Behaviour Dog Training classes and courses to anyone who wants to engage/stimulate their dog, teach them new things and just have fun!

Zoe and Jen have been amazing. We have a Romanian rescue that had become severely reactive to people and dogs on walks so much so that if she saw a person she would lunge and bark regardless of distance. Through zoom training to keep Teela calm and visits from Jen we now have a happy calm dog that we can now take to the pub and for walks anywhere without fear of a reaction. We still get the odd bark to another dog but that might happen once every few weeks.Teela loved the training and it was fun for me and my husband and whilst I wasn't sure why we were doing certain things it is all helped her make the right choices in a positive force free way. The best trainers we have ever had and well worth every penny!!! Thank you for helping us get our happy dog back ❤️

After meeting Jen at Suffolk Dog Show, we decided to chose Best Behaviour dog training for our Springer Spaniel Mabel. Knowing she is a high energy breed I wanted the best direction and training and Jen has absolutely smashed that. Mabel is growing into the most amazing dog and the lessons teach me so much. Mabel has so much fun and is a calm tired puppy when we get home after. Very thankful to Jen.

Great fun class, Molly and I really enjoyed it and always looked forward to going. We both took away some positive skills, which has made a huge difference to our walks. I hope to book more classes in the future, thank you Jen for your hard work and patience, making the classes so much fun.

My cockapoo puppy and I have been attending Best Behaviour dog training from January to October 2022. Our class meets at Dan's Meadow, Martlesham - a lovely spacious grass site which seems quite sheltered. We meet in all weathers including heavy rain, but it never seems very windy - so a lovely place to learn. Ostensibly the force free training is for the dogs but of course it's really for us owners too. This puppy has always been a handful, particularly for his bumptious behaviour with our older cockapoo. Taking him to Best Behaviour dog training has helped teach him how (not) to interact with other dogs, how to walk politely on the lead, to come when called, to do an emergency stop and to do lots of other interactions with me. I have learnt never to be without plenty of dog treats, and we are currently concentrating on improving recall and his tolerance of grooming and ear inspections. Best Behaviour do lots of specialised courses, and I hope to book a master class in dog impulse control next year. I can definitely recommend Best Behaviour to owners who want force free dog training which is based in a sound understanding of doggie behaviour. Enjoy!

My 12 week old puppy Toffee and I started our formal learning together with Best Behaved Dog Training 2 weeks ago.I was initially struck by the professional set up on line and focus on real life situations.The trainer Jen is focused on each dog/human pairing and gives clear instructions and advice for every exercise. Jen gives praise freely.Reward promptly and clear communication are two early takeaways for me.I have owned dogs all my life and it would have been easy to have relied on my own experience and a couple of weeks at a puppy class… but I am glad I came across this business. It has opened my eyes to the possibilities of having a trained and well rounded happy dog that is confident in most situations.I like being in an open area with a small number of dogs and people around. The training has already helped us focus on the exercises and block out distractions.I love the engagement with your dog exercises and your dog being encouraged to volunteer behaviours.We both get a brain workout which is fun and gives lots to occupy you to practice at home. Very useful with a young dog limited on walking time.I have learned so much already; and we are both excited about the course as it develops over the next weeks and months.Thank you for helping us start to build a bond and a good foundation.

Fabulous training for our puppy. Jen has been superb in delivering the training and helping us with some specific bits.We are really proud of our Teddy and how he has learnt so much in just 8 weeks. We have booked for another 8 weeks training!Would highly recommend.

Hughie and I started training at 4 monthsThe sessions held at Dans Meadow with Jen training have been invaluable; both dogs and owners really enjoy the sessions.Plenty of encouragement and skilful tips and advice both in class and learning to deal with individual concerns at the end of classes .I have never engaged so wholeheartedly in training with previous dogs and am really seeing the benefits .Well done Best Behaviour team - really well organised , professional and consistent
