Liverpool One - Water Fountain

I've walked past these beautiful modern pools and fountains a few times on the way to the Liverpool One shops and not realised their historic significance. They stand on the site of the old dock of Liverpool built in the 1700's. There are a couple of info boards with interesting facts about the dock's history and where you can find traces of it, and also about William Hutchinson, the 18th century dock master whose painstaking tide measurements are inscribed on the pavement next to the fountains. It was bitterly cold when I was there but it's a nice place to sit in the summer. The water features and colourful Liverpool Sign make brilliant photo opportunities. It was really lovely when the sun set and the Christmas lights came on.

Liverpool One water fountain was the fist good impression I got from the city! You have a beautiful view of the Royal Albert Dock from there, specially during sunset.

Bel viale che porta sulla passeggiata lungo fiume. Ci sono grandi vasche di acqua dove i bambini possono giocare e dove è possibile rinfrescarsi.

Lugar bem legal para tirar fotos do letreiro de Liverpool. É muito fácil chegar ali. Esta bem próximo ao museu do Beatles e estatua deles. Nós achamos por acaso quando estávamos indo para o Tavern Pub. Ali é uma área comercial onde um pouco mais acima possui um shopping bacana com diversos tipos de lojas. Ache um ângulo bem legal e capriche na foto. Eu indico dar uma passada nesse letreiro.
