Had the lovely pleasure of staying here on Saturday night. What an absolute gem, oozing with character and charm, stayed in the green room which has a lovely little sitting room adjoining. Absolutely spotless! Very well looked after by Jacqui and her husband. Highly recommend

They only have a star as it wouldn't let me post with ZERO.Do not book with these people. We have had a booking for 2 months. One room was for our children and they just called and told me that they made a mistake and have booked 1 of our 2 rooms 10 minutes away?!? What kind of person tells the mother and father that they have to stay in a separate hotel than their children?!?! They knew all along it was for a family of 4.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tankerfield House! Jackie and her butler, Alberto, took great care of us, cooking fabulous traditional English breakfasts every morning, remembering our preferences, making us feel welcome, and helping solve problems (the tv remote needed batteries). We also enjoyed meeting the other guests, who were from Italy. They had a 6mo old baby, and I was impressed that after initially hearing them in the hallway, we didn't hear much noise from them when we were in our front corner room. Loved being able to see St. Alban's Cathedral from our room and hear their bells - so beautiful! Look forward to staying here again for our next visit!

23rd/24th/25th March 2019.The Tankerfield House is a Fantastic & interesting establishment with a large Wow factor once you are inside.Very warm & friendly welcome on arrival from Jackie/Jacquie? the Green room was fantastic, which has the benefit of a separate seating/TV room area.Breakfast was served by Alfredo, a very hospitably gentleman.Myself & friend will definitely be returning to Tankerfield House in the near future.

I recently spent 3 nights in this delightful, well located & very comfortable b&b. Breakfasts were great and the hosts extremely friendly. I would strongly recommend staying here.

Central location in St. Albans, lovely service from owners who are very attentive to details. If they had biscuits in the rooms then I'd rate it 5*!
