We got our Studio 54 costumes from Connie and we LOVED them! This shop is SO cool whether it’s for a vintage outfit for a night out or an ‘out there’ fancy dress costume. For the price it was going to cost us to buy a cheap and nasty costume online we hired an amazing quality outfit that no one at the party will forget in a hurry! Thank you, we will be back x

Wow meeting Connie, when I did, was perfect timing.I had a party to go to with four days' notice and needed an outfit. I wasn't very hopeful that I would find something suitable but through talking to Connie she took time to get to know me and the event so was able to make some stellar recommendations. She gently expanded my range by introducing new items which built my confidence and did this without being pushy or sales-like. Connie was driven by a desire to help me FEEL the best that I could. The process resulted in so much more than me finding an outfit. It connected me to feeling sexy and empowered. After 18months in lockdown emerging from it feeling like a complete goddess was amazing and Connie played a huge part in that. She is The Alchemist of Clothes!!!She has a wonderful range of vintage clothes and I can't go back to explore with more looks and outfits.

Wow what a little gem of a shop! Quality vintage, dress up costumes for hire, gorgeous sky high leather boots and shoes to purchase, with all the accessories to match....and at reasonable prices. Great place to find a fancy dress outfit for men and women, and some truly unique clothing gifts.

More than a fancy dress shop! Connie couldn’t have been more helpful when I needed a costume for a festival outfit. I’m not local so Connie made sure we FaceTimed before to get us on the same page. Then I visited her lovely store in north London in an indoor market and she took time to go through different items which can be standard clothing or theatrical costumes or fetish wear. You can rent or buy what you need. Can’t wait until I have another festival to dress up for!

I needed a costume for a Studio 54 costume and Fabulist did not disappoint! It’s a little treasure trove of sparkles and amazing clothes, Connie’s service was so personal and helpful and I was thrilled with the dress I chose. She even helped out with accessories for my husbands outfit. Would definitely go back!

Really wonderful service from Connie. She helped me pick a costume for a 1920s theme party which was just perfect! Also love the sustainable/conscious vintage clothing concept -much better than buying cheap costumes online. Highly recommend costume hire from here to everyone!
