Well worth a visit! Manned by volunteers who provide an excellent overview of the history and the workings of a signal box. Train movements can be simulated and levers pulled to set points and signals. A wonderful piece of our heritage preserved.

A great place for rail enthusiasts. Get hands on with signalling and visit the cafe for a treat. The staff are friendly and knowledgable.

Very interesting museum with a nice cafe / shop and lots to learn about signalling and trains. Warm welcome from the volunteer staff. And if you are lucky you will be able to pull a lever. And its only a short walk from Romsey Station. Well worth a visit.

We'd gone into town for a haircut, but the only barbers open on Sunday had a long queue, so we decided to go shopping... As we passed Romsey Signal Box Museum, we saw it was open and my 4 year old suggested we go in. Despite living in Romsey for 25 years I'd never visited. It waa great, the volunteers were very attentive and knowledgeable. There was plenty of things for a 4 year old to pull and push!

Had a great time here on the weekend. A great small site held together by friendly volunteers. Even though they were having some technical difficulties with one of their attractions the young lad Charlie still showed us through it all manually. He talked us through each element with amazing knowledge making it even more interesting. He then did the hands on demonstration in the old signal box pulling all the leavers and interacting with the group with questions and getting people up to have a go themselves. So if you're ever in the area, for only a few pounds a ticket, make sure you visit and meet the volunteers and learn a bit of local history.
