Alison Lindsay: Fertility Pregnancy and Birth in Cumbria

The hypnobirthing course delivered by Alison was fantastic. We went to a taster session first which was useful before committing to the whole course. Alison was really flexible with dates and times and was also a fabulous coach, explaining all aspects of birth in a way which really made sense to us. The relaxation techniques are useful not just for but for every day life (especially with a fussy newborn). The course is also not just focussed on a drug free labour, but on empowering mothers and birth partners to make decisions on what is the right birth on the day. I would definitely recommend taking hypnobirthing classes to anyone wanting to approach their birth calm, confident and in control.

I used Ali during my pregnancy last year. Putting it simply, she’s incredible! I had five sessions of reflexology with her towards the end of the pregnancy and my only wish is that I had found her earlier and had more sessions! Towards the end it wasn’t the easiest of pregnancies but I have never felt more relaxed than when Ali was working her magic. She came to my house, played relaxing music and sent me and the baby into a blissful state of tranquility. I had issues with my liver and lots of water retention and my feet and lower legs were half the size after Ali had finished. She also gave me some invaluable tips for hypnobirthing and taught me some fab pressure points to use during labour, which honestly worked. I can’t recommend Ali enough. I wish I’d known her for my first two pregnancies.

Wholeheartedly reccomend Alison! I attended her hypnobirthing course recently and I'm very glad I did. Small groups mean lots of opportunities to ask questions based on your circumstances. Alison is very warm and approachable, and offers continued support beyond her course. I'm feeling much more prepared and calm about birth and advocating for myself in pregnancy.

The kit that Alison sent out to us was a brilliant add on to the course, with lots of handy bits like a comb for acupressure and a relaxing roll on. Alison is also still at the end of the phone, sharing articles and has even given us detailed feedback on our birth plans which has been very valuable. I feel hypnobirthing should be an essential part of any parents to be preparation and Alison gives the information very scientifically with facts and figures to support the information. Despite being online, Alison took the time to get to know us, adding a personal touch to the course and her passion for birthing is wonderful.
