Great place to walk the dogs, there are few routes around the man made lake, there is a path around the lake and various other routes through the woodland, the paths through the woodland can be very muddy in places and not suitable for wheel chairs, but the path around the lake is best for wheelchairs, it can be a little muddy in places but not to bad. There is a paid parking area and toilets near the car park. There are benchs dotted around the lake, and you can picnic at the various open spaces around the lake.Signs around the site tell you about the wildlife and ongoing conservation work that is going on there. There are plenty of dog poop bins around the site. You can get drinks and snacks across the road from the car park entrance. This place can be very busy at weekends, with loads of dogs, so be wary if your dog is jump up, type of dog or not good around other dogs, a dog lead is advised, but the dog owners at time of visit kept thier dogs under control so no problems. Great place for children to visit as well. Just be aware that the lake is not fenced off, so keep an eye on the younger children as you go around the lake. There is a place near the car park were the children can go down to the lake and feed the ducks and easy access for the dogs to go and swim in the lake. There is a Bridle path that skirts around the site as well.

Lovely little walk. Solid paths and plenty of dog poop bins.We saw a large hawk on our walk and felt like we were in the middle of nowhere.Pay and display car park and toilets with a little coffee shack/cafe across the road.

What a lovely place to visit for a walk as you can walk in the woods and then walk round the lake. The paths are great for buggies as there is plenty of room, fabulous views of the lake & green areas around with benches to sit on.Plenty of car parking spaces for a small charge of £1 or £2 depending how long you stay.Toilets are available and you can get drinks there. There is also a cafe across the road which sells cakes, ice creams and milk. It's enjoyable for pets and all ages, definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful spot. Not too long to walk around the lake. So much natural wild flowers, meadows, wild life and woodland. Disabled friendly with toilets and food/ice cream.

I paid my ticket and yet a still got a ticket for parking in the wrong place! It was a Sunday and the day was dry. So the car park was full. I usually go across the road to park, at The Cow Shed and buy a coffee. But it was full as they had their Pumpkin party on. I was by one of the containers, but I was not restricting the doors from being open if it was necessary. But I still got RESTRICTED AREA" on my ticket! I have parked in the same spot mainly times without any problem! It was a lovely day

Beautiful place. Clean toilets. Great place for kids and dog walkers. Ice cream is on the expensive side but the clotted cream flavour is amazing.

Great place to enjoy nature. A gentle flat, well paved walk round for those that need it but plenty of chance to scramble through the trees and down to the lake with the kids too. Little Cow Shed opposite for refreshments.

Perfect for accompanying people in a wheelchair or scooter for a jaunt out. Car park is free for blue badge holders, otherwise there’s a small charge. Nice place too for the children and doggies to go paddling and swimming in summer. Some huuuge fish (I think carp) lurking in the water too which is fun to watch through the clear waters

Amazing little place. Good for all ages and abilities. There is a stunning wood carving in the woodland area. A true master carving. The paths are wide and clearly marked, making it an easy to follow walk. Lots of different ways to walk, with its many paths.

A very beautiful albeit short walk around a small lake. Opposite the walk is a pumpkin patch (seasonal site), a coffee shop and a hot food stand and there's ample parking. The reserve itself is very well looked after with woodland, heathland, grassland and the lake itself. Perfect for dogwalkers, children and wildlife enthusiasts. There are also Pokestops and 8 Monster Hunter nodes for AR gamers.Enjoy
