Excellent experience. Mr Allan is very supportive and professional. Everything was explained clearly and guided me every step of the way through the process. Very happy with the results.

From start to finish the service offered by Bruce and his team was second to none. Can’t fault it in anyway. Communication was clear throughout. Bruce himself was a delight, so kind and polite. I'm very grateful to Mr Allan for helping me with my eyesight. I had cataracts and prescription glasses. Now I have a whole new perspective on my life with clearer vision without glasses. It probably is a cliche but I do wish I had done this when I was younger. From the first conversation with Bruce, I felt at ease. He explained what I need and how the surgery would take place. I recently had the lense replacement operation. It is amazing and like many I wish I had had it done earlier. It was simple and straightforward. I went to Dr. Allen to get Lasik about three months ago and my life has transformed. The whole procedure was flawless and I felt safe the entire time. I’ve just gone in for my 3 month check up and my eyes are perfectly healthy and it’s so great to not have to worry about wearing glasses again.The whole process was smooth and brilliant. I have been very short-sighted since childhood and am now 51 and starting to become long-sighted as well. I didn't enjoy being a glasses-wearer, and was even less keen on having to manage two or more pairs, or adjust to bifocals or varifocals. I chose Moorfields for my surgery because I felt confident they would have the expertise to deal with any complications competently. They were also cheaper than Optical Express, and offered a better treatment option - Optical Express said they could entirely fix my short sight but I would need reading glasses immediately. Mr Allan said he would leave me slightly short-sighted in my non-dominant eye to give me better vision for reading. This has worked really well, my distance vision is excellent and at the moment I don't need reading glasses.My experience of the actual surgery was very straightforward. The procedure took around 15 minutes for each eye. It was somewhat uncomfortable and a bit disconcerting, especially for the first eye, but there was no pain at all and my vision was vastly improved immediately - I got up off the bed and read the time off the clock on the wall which half an hour earlier would have been a blur. My eyes did become very watery late in the afternoon for about an hour when the anaesthetic wore off, but then quickly improved after that.The healing process has been equally straightforward and the results are very satisfactory indeed. I should add that Mr Allan is very friendly and clearly an expert in what he does, and my confidence in him has so far been absolutely justified. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and his team to anyone considering similar surgery.
