This place is really good! Lots of retro games to choose from. Classic board games, cards, handheld devices, consoles plus an arcade cabinet. When I arrived it was nice and quiet. Just me and one other family. Later a party joined and it didn’t hinder the fun as it’s designed with plenty of space between consoles, no one was crammed in. So experiencing both quiet and busy times was a good insight . The free hot drinks and juice is such a nice bonus but we ordered fizzy drinks as it’s a treat. Nice atmosphere, so much to choose from and super friendly staff.

Visited the place today. I had quite high expectations based on what was marketed and I heard. Safe to say, definitely met those expectations and then some.As someone who is very passionate about gaming, especially pre-9th generation. I can say this is definitely a stellar place to visit. There's a wide variety of consoles to play, from a Mini Commodore 64 to Xbox 360. There's many, many games to choose from. If you think of a popular game for a console, it's 9/10 will be there. If you are someone who knows the more obscure games, it's also likely to be there. For a new place, I was really surprised by the variety, and to hear more coming really pleased me.I loved the set-up, it was simplistic and authentic. All running native on screen. Also everything is clearly laid out, neat, tidy and all COVID friendly. Hearing how they also aimed to pick the right consoles to make authentic such as the Mini SNES really was a great pleasure to hear.Everything worked as they should, easy to use, play and there's a lot of incentive to come back next time. Whether it'd be the new additions in the future, the current line-up which is way more than 2 hours worth, or the loyalty scheme. I will definitely be a regular to the place given how local it is and how much I loved it.I also really want to thank the staff for being so approachable and friendly. I never got the individual's name who was with me the entire time, conversing, explaining certain elements to me of how it runs. However, he was great. Ben was really friendly, helped welcomed me and was great. Joanne was also really friendly, had a great conversation about certain consoles and how they were developed. Along with an interesting fact about the Commodore 64.All in all, very good place, highly recommend to anyone. Especially for gaming fans. However, for those who love board games there were definitely plenty there that I saw and also were tidy and in great care.Only suggestion I could think of is that for example there wasn't a GameCube, however there was GameCube games. For myself and others we know that the Wii can play them. However, people less familiar may not, so I would suggest potentially labelling consoles that have backwards compatibility and which ones. However, that's minor given how everything is

Great place for my son and his friend. Really nice environment, made to feel very welcome and felt the boys were really safe. Good area for me to sit, separate from the main playing area, as I wasn't playing.

All of the staff were really attentive and helpful by helping the children get set up and also helped set up decorations. A lovely time had by all! Thanks Retro game play- we will be back! Xx

Went there on the opening day expecting it to be free as it was an opening day? But had to pay £20 for family of 4 which I thought ok who cares, but while me and the wife where relaxing the two kids where playing and we got asked to leave by 2 as it was going to get “busy” when it doesn’t state how long you can stay there ? Plus the two adults was not even playing just sitting there and the kids were enjoying themselves and I had to tell them we have to go because we got asked to? Was there for an hour and a half not even 2 hours thought it was abit rude to be honest
