Pavilion Point - Brighton Student Accommodation

Honest Review!!!To start, I am a current student currently living in the accommodation (Normal Studio) for over 8 months. The first couple of months living here was quite nice am not going to lie. Nice new Building in a nice city location with shops nearby and close to train station and city center. Nice rooms and facilities.Despite this, after a couple of months of living here, I saw a lot of changes. First of all, Pavilion Point Student Accommodation has canceled any safety security shift during the nights. That means there is no security around during the night which creates a lot of impact. As well as, concerns about the robbery. I will explain myself below.After 17:30 the building is free of safety. There are magnets that are responsible to open the 2 front doors but I saw many people that are not students just walking inside the building. One fact that has happened recently has to do with stealing a student’s bike which was parked and locked within the building bike area. Another concern is when students lock their keys in their rooms, there is no one to assist them immediately. The solution is to call the local security office which takes approximately 45-60 min to arrive (Had experienced). Besides that, my concern is if something happens in the accommodation building, for instance, a fire or smoke alarm will be activated, or robberies or any other factors, the online security source is to arrive within 45 min? That’s quite a lot to wait for when someone needs assistance in critical moments.Despite this, the reception staff is amazing. Very friendly, welcoming, and available for the students for any request from morning till 17:30 pm.

Loved my stay here. Staff was friendly and security guard was kinda making me act up. Students were a wide range of variety and not everyone was easy to get along with but that's just uni. Overall, had a fantastic year and would recommend.

Nice place to students to live nice location, a lot of useful shops in the area , but this increase the rental prices without having now benefits, also in the their website the size and layouts of the rooms is not accurate.Teams are friendly.Also they need to add more benefits for studios room.Also make in every floor cleaning room accessible to residents, iron and iron table, it is not useful or responsible to every time to go to Reception to borrow.Waste collection should takes place on the each floors, and not to make every resident have to go to the waste room.

I loved my experience at this accommodation, especially waking up to drilling at 7am when I had to work night shifts to pay for my families medical bills. I also enjoy the conversations with other students even though most spoke languages I couldn't understand and they kept looking and laughing at me, felt good to be part of a clique. I loved always coming to my laundry and finding it thrown at walls and left on the floor, made my day extra special. I enjoyed the nice air I received from a window that couldn't open more than 1 and when it did I had the amazing smell of a kid outside always smoking illegal substances

Very bad residence. Main problem is the lack of security at this residence. I dont know how many times there were news about people getting inside the residence and flats when they didnt even live there.My bike was stolen in the middle of the day, when security was there, and they didn’t do anything about it.The construction of the building was rushed so there are many mistakes that bother you on a daily basis.And finally, the staff is 100% useless when it comes to helping you out. Matter of fact, there were many times when i felt like i was being lied and played with by them, specially Jonathan.

I’ve been calling and emailing my about the deposit for a refund it will be a month next week and I have been ignored I call everyday and no answer I get cut off very disappointed

Bikes of my friends got stolen weeks ago and I saw a bunch of strangers drinking at the courtyard last Friday and it was absolutely a disaster. We need securities

Was lied to on multiple occasions, the staff seem to think that they don't need to sort out individual problems themselves, there's been on-going problems with radiator, problems with water, place stinks of asbestos and paint. Most mornings I have to brush past painters, workmen and all kinds of construction to get to the front reception. Literally endless problems. They rushed getting students in to make some extra bucks, whereas in reality they should of finalized and finished everything before even considering getting students in. Borderline false-advertising and misleading the students that genuinely needed a nice place to stay. I Don't appreciate getting lied to and misled. But I especially do not like being joked around and laughed at by the staff when I come with a legitimate problem. I wish I had chosen somewhere else to stay but c'est la vie. And the way that they're only replying to the good reviews is kinda suspicious too...

decent facilities but absolute horrible cleanliness and poor proactiveness from management to counteract these irresponsible tenants. absolutely unliveable environment

Just visited the building today and was greeted by Kirsy who was lovely. She took her time to show us around the whole accommodation and explained in great detail. She was honest to us with things not being finished yet. The common areas are amazing. Huge courtroom, private study booths and amazing space management. Would highly recommend living here if you're a student!
