Pete came round on multiple occasions (including a weekend) and gave us solid advice for our home project. He is friendly, knowledgable and approachable. Now just to wait for the planning permission!

After previously having major issues with some builders who were doing repointing work on the front out our property, we were very apprehensive about getting someone in again. However, Pete, Jamie and the rest of the team recently did a loft conversion for us. All the work was completed very quickly and professionally and we had no issues at all throughout the work. They all turned up early in the morning each day and were always happy. Nothing that came up was an issue and they solved all the problems without involving us at all. They stuck to the initial agreed price and time and we will definitely use them again for any future work. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I had a wonderful bathroom and shower installation. High quality workmanship and extremely professional as well. No mess either even though the job involved a lot of tile cutting and brick work.

Following a robust tender process conducted by our project manager, Paul Goode, of Goodesign Ltd, MYA were contracted as the build partners on our home conversion project in Surrey. The project was substantial, featuring a rear extension, side extension, loft conversion, and a wholesale internal reconfiguration, so we were keen to find a proven partner that would work with us, keep us fully informed and make a firm commitment on timescales.From the outset, Pete Mitchell and the MYA team made us feel at ease, communicating clearly at each stage of the process, providing us with transparent pricing, and guaranteeing quality and consistency in delivery, by using their own trusted team of tradespeople to ensure they met their schedule commitments. Throughout the process Paul Goode was on hand to offer advice, and at some times, provide solutions, to the ever-changing brief that is an older home redevelopment.The entire house was stripped back to the bare bones of the supporting walls and built back better, from the foundations up. Then it was all about the small things. The team found and sourced new bricks that best complemented those of the original house, thereby making the transition from the old to the new build as seamless as possible. The external brickwork and the rendering of the external walls were expertly finished, the electrics completely replaced throughout, and a new, state-of-the-art heating system installed.Every wall and ceiling was re-boarded, skimmed and finished with precision, the tiling team were ultra attentive to detail (even when we had to call them back in after the cat got stuck behind our new bath), and Jimmy and the decorators treated our house like it was their home. And even though the original quote only listed a ‘builder’s finish’, MYA welcomed us home to a fully decorated home - just one of the many extra ‘wow’ factor touches that cemented our relationship.The planning to ensure the right materials were in place, for the right trades, at the right time as the project progressed was meticulous, the project moved fluidly through the development stages, and importantly, the payment schedule was clearly defined and adhered to throughout. We never paid ahead of work, only on completion.Our beautifully finished home is a project that both we and the MYA team are delighted with. A private build is always stressful, with a lot at stake both financially and emotionally. The reassurance of having a build partner on board who was as passionate about the end result as we were gave us the confidence to enjoy the process, and to get the best outcome from it.So, would we recommend MYA for your build?Absolutely. 100%.
